NIS America has released the opening movie for Trails through Daybreak 2 ahead of the RPG's release next week, on the 14th February.
The movie itself is just about as anime as it gets, boasting moody shots of main characters, glimpses of shadowy bad guys, and teasers for potentially crazy plot twists. Still, it's a fun watch — especially if you've been waiting on this sequel since the first Trails through Daybreak dropped last year.
Technically, Daybreak 2 isn't a new game — having originally released in Japan in 2022 — but against all odds, western fans will almost be caught up on the series once it drops. As big Trails enthusiasts ourselves, we can't wait to see what Falcom's been cooking.

The first Trails through Daybreak was rather disappointing for me. I’m going to play this still, but I don’t have very high expectations.
@Fluberuper I found the actual combat parts very fun. But the dialogue heavy parts made me stop halfway..
Hoping this part is more action focussed.
The Trails series is the greatest RPG series of all time!

Got my copy coming today which was a surprise to me as its not meant to be releasing for another 8 days 🤔. Oh well I'm not going to complain, just hope it's fully playable now and doesn't need a day one patch.
