RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition, a classic management sim from the early noughties, is finally coming to PS5 and PS4 next month.
Published by Atari, the game is set to release on Sony's consoles on 20th March, 2025, with an HD coat of paint.
It made its way onto Switch several years ago, but will soon be available on all modern consoles.
Unlike the first two games in the series, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 introduced fully 3D graphics for the first time, and added several new features to the formula. Originally releasing in 2004, it's still a beloved entry in the franchise today.

As the name suggests, the Complete Edition comes packaged with the full game and all its expansions. It'll cost $29.99 / £24.99, but PS Plus members can currently pre-order it at the discounted price of $23.99 / £19.99.

Bloody wicked, definitely getting on to this.
I was so close to buying a switch for this game!
Looking forward to utilising the PS Portal alongside the PS5 🙌
I wonder why now after all these years?
Either way, very happy!
I already have it on PC, but RCT3 is a top 10 all-timer for me. I have sunk thousands of hours into it throughout my life.
Oh yes please
Perhaps a bit random, but saw this in the PS store today alongside Age of Mythology! Didn’t realise that was coming our way!
Man this is my childhood. I got Soaked and Wild for Christmas in 2005 I think. Really brilliant game.
I tried playing through 3 on the switch somewhat recently but I just couldn't get into it. I guess I just don't understand the appeal?
Cool! I thought it was never going to come over to PS. I loved 1&2 back in the day but never did get 3 in the end. Might have to change that.
I would rather have 1 and 2!
Fair, good to see it come to something besides Switch. Enjyoing on Switch (not bought 3 on it yet, own 1 & 2 and 3 on PC and got 1 & 2 Classic for Switch (may get 3 but didn't care for it much) and it's ok.
Hate the menus they look like garbage and the old ones were better for more individual actions not minimal actions that are confusing/phone like nonsense.
The controls are fair, a bit confusing but actually pretty good, the PC experience I want on console too which is a surprise. Touch is fair too).
It's no gyro/cursor but a mouse cursor I actually like to use on a console, it takes till RCT1 & 2 for this to happen. I'm surprised. Other devs learn from this then your garbage PC to console ports cursors. This is how a retro game or even modern cursor is done with buttons/stick use.
It's not perfect, but it's good enough I don't question it hours in and even with primitive controls understanding and still jumping through menus enough to get to what I want to. It wasn't as confusing as PS1 Theme Hospital or Two Point Campus/Project Highrise on PS4 where I go what am I supposed to do and forget constantly in the modern ones, PS1 TH was ok just awkward d-pad. Even Game of Life PS1 was good even if different genre/type of game.
No idea how the Xbox port of RCT1 was I don't remember it enough, if similar then wow, just wow. I assume not but just thinking about it.
@ATaco What sort of thing were you looking for with it.
Maybe try Planet Coaster or Thrillville they have different approaches to it. Riding rides, management details and such. It varies.
Then again micromanagement of tycoon games or strategy games isn't for everyone they are very different.
Though I find something like Zoo Tycoon Xbox One to be too dumbed down. Or Screamride to be too much a roller coaster riding with objectives and physics based cannon game, something I'd expect out of a flash game, Iike physics based puzzle games in flash anyway or puzzle games that aren't Tetris/Candy Crush and more involved (not a bad thing just different then what usually expect on console).
Theme park, city builders or strategy can vary a fair bit.
I assume your into things like Cities Skylines maybe and expected around similar besides how focused in on theme parks it is? Or the feel is a bit off at times, dated or just tweaks that weren't there?
Or hear the hype but just don't get it. That's also understandable.
Bad tutorials maybe?
Or not used to these types of games? I can only randomly guess of course and be compelling off with assumptions. XD
just pre ordered this on PS5 and its good to see a discount for ps plus users £20 Bargin - i got this game on pc and aint played it for 5 years
@SuntannedDuck2 your gonna love RCT3 on ps5 it has both addons built into it soaked - water parks / Wild - Zoo animals they didnt make no more dlcs after that and their wont be mods in the game its basicly a port with HD graphics lol
@ATaco o well
@RBMango same years ago i had this game and both addons that i had to install on my old pc using a very small cd rom lol then few years later had the game again but it was a steam code
@Richy2025 both add-ons I know is nice but more assets isn't much. But I know they do add more parks so that's good.
Oh I know it's an HD port of a complete edition. I owned the original RCT3 and I think the Soaked expansion or a different one and not that one. I didn't get into it much. That or just the base game. I forget. I cared more for RCT1 and 2, had both expansions for 1, only Wacky Worlds for 2, not the other expansion for it. I know of Open RCT2 as well never played it though.
I know of the water expansion didn't so much the animals or other ones.
I didn't get into it much I preferred the old ones ideas/gameplay ideas and artstyle.
I may give 3 another chance though.
Got this on Switch and it's still as good as I remember.
