Sports games are generally highly competitive affairs that demand perfectly balanced gameplay to succeed. But sometimes you just want to experience the immersion of being a pro athlete.
The new Road to the Show in MLB The Show 25 will add first-person fielding to the experience, allowing you to step into the cleats of your created player and experience what it’s like to put out your opponents with a well-placed throw to first base.
As always with this series, San Diego Studio is focusing on a list of refinements rather than revolutions. To be fair, though, Road to the Show does seem like it’s gone through a complete progression overhaul, as it looks like there’ll be much more flexibility when it comes to creating your player build.

Future updates will focus on Franchise, March to October, and Diamond Dynasty, although we know the latter will have a new board game-style mode, which sounds interesting. The game’s less than a month away now, with a release date tagged for 17th March.

Never have understood why PlayStation didn’t add a VR Home Run Derby mode for PSVR2. Such wasted opportunity.
God this just makes me want Konami to bring Yakyuu Spirits west.
