Of Course Marvel Rivals Is Getting Its Own Comic Book 1

Marvel Rivals is one of the biggest games on the planet right now, so it’s little surprise a comic book companion.

Due out physically in April, you’ve actually been able to read this six-issue series digitally with Marvel Unlimited since December. But now it’ll be repurposed as a single volume in print and available in comic book stores for the first time.

Written by Paul Allor with art by Luca Claretti, the plot depicts an epic battle between two superhero squads, based on characters from the game, including Spider-Man and Captain America.

Here’s the blurb: “Set in Tokyo 2099, the time rift has disrupted the Web of Life and Destiny, leaving the world’s heroes to battle it out over the best way to fix it. One group, led by Peni Parker, wants to plug the Web into Cyberspace to repair it. The other group, led by Spider-Man, favours a more conservative approach of using Chronovium to strengthen the web and allow it to repair itself. The time rift makes rivals out of us all, but which team will overtake the other?”

Pre-orders are available from various comic book retailers now, with a variant cover by Federico Sabbatini featuring Jeff the Land Shark also available. Will you be picking this up, or have you already read the story digitally?
