Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time has been confirmed for a PS5 and PS4 release, having previously been leaked via a brief PS Store listing.
Originally, this successor to 2012 3DS title Fantasy Life was going to be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch — but it's now coming to just about everything on the 21st May. It'll be here before you know it.
There's reason to be quite excited for this one. Fantasy Life's whole identity is built around jobs and the process of mastering them. You can hunt down monsters and become an almighty warrior, or you can dedicate your time to crafting or cooking in order to make a living.

All of these activities take place in an environmentally diverse open world, making this a rather ambitious sequel given the scope of the original Fantasy Life.
The official description reads: "In this slow-life RPG, players can freely switch between 14 unique Lives (jobs) and enjoy life at their own pace. As they embark on a journey across time, spanning 1,000 years, they’ll work to restore the island while uncovering the great mystery hidden within."
Developer Level-5 also confirms that Fantasy Life i will have full cross-play support, so you'll be able to do some co-op adventuring alongside players on Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Cross-save is available too, which is always nice.

With Cross play confirmed I will be getting this on the PS5 and the Switch version for the misses.
But, I'm a bit peeved it's digital only.
Yay...!!! 😃
I will get the PS5 version.
So is co-op specifically for the dungeons? or the whole game?
@Kiefer-Sutherland if its like the last game then it's co op for whole game, but I'm sure you couldn't do story quests.
Cross-play is nice, cross-save is better, but there's no cross-buy. So close. This is the last thing the games industry needs to do. I want to play the game on my PC in my office, then move to the living room to play on my Xbox, and then play on the go on my Switch.
Very interested in this! Love open world RPGs and want to get into one that's not really so serious. And it's NOT TURN-BASED!!!
The original was a ton of fun. Everyone in my family had copies, and we all played together through the endgame and DLC. Will be grabbing for PC if it runs well on Deck, since I'm sure the Switch version will be... iffy.
Day, one buy for me! I like these kind of games!
1 of my favourite 3DS titles, so i'll be getting this Day 1.
18th of May is Early-Acces, if you pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition. Also comes with a mount, a weapons pack and an iconic outfit pack.
And the most important news: The game is coming to Steam (Deck).
I played past Fantasy Life games. Fun stuff
The original is my most played 3DS game so I’m really looking forward to this one. I think my son will really enjoy it as well.
Looking forward to this, will probably get this for my wife as well so we can play together. She loves games like this!
