Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time has been confirmed for a PS5 and PS4 release, having previously been leaked via a brief PS Store listing.

Originally, this successor to 2012 3DS title Fantasy Life was going to be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch — but it's now coming to just about everything on the 21st May. It'll be here before you know it.

There's reason to be quite excited for this one. Fantasy Life's whole identity is built around jobs and the process of mastering them. You can hunt down monsters and become an almighty warrior, or you can dedicate your time to crafting or cooking in order to make a living.

All of these activities take place in an environmentally diverse open world, making this a rather ambitious sequel given the scope of the original Fantasy Life.

The official description reads: "In this slow-life RPG, players can freely switch between 14 unique Lives (jobs) and enjoy life at their own pace. As they embark on a journey across time, spanning 1,000 years, they’ll work to restore the island while uncovering the great mystery hidden within."

Developer Level-5 also confirms that Fantasy Life i will have full cross-play support, so you'll be able to do some co-op adventuring alongside players on Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Cross-save is available too, which is always nice.
