Atomfall, from Sniper Elite and Zombie Army developer Rebellion, appears to be Britain's answer to Fallout and S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and it's almost upon us, out next month on 27th March on PS5. The rolling hills and green countryside make for a perfect counterpoint to the grim realities of post-apocalyptic life, and we can't help but eagerly anticipate this one.
In an alternate history that diverges from our own, the UK's Windscale fire of 1957, the worst nuclear incident in the country's history, is not contained in time, kicking off a broader societal collapse. Set five years later in Northern England; players will ramble across the rolling hills and picturesque landscape, encountering the struggling survivors and mutated monstrosities that now call the British Isles home.

What do you think of Atomfall? Do you find the change of pace from American-centric series like Fallout and Wasteland refreshing? Fight tooth and nail for the last surviving tea bag in the comments section below.

Looks good to me..Roll on March..
Whilst the premise sounds great and rebellion are a pretty reliable studio, that looks old already. But that isn't a bad thing as long as it plays well. Stories are not defined by looks alone.
One of the few games I am genuinely excited for this year.
I would suggest folks not go in expecting Fallout or Stalker as you will probably be disappointed.
I have seen the premise of this game described as a non linear survival detective story with multiple routes to completion depending on how you go about things.
It all sounds very interesting to me and it will be a nice change to have a game set in rural England. Hope it's lives up to it promise.
looking forward to this
if Bethesda arnt going to make a new fallout other developers should look to fill that space
I'm looking forward to this. This looked fun on what I have seen, hope it's rock solid
Love the Lakes, and studied this disaster at uni, and love Fallout, so looking forward to this a lot!
Sounds like a great premise.
Really hope this does well 👍
Really looking forward to this, been wanting something to scratch the fallout style itch I have and this always looks more and more interesting. Also appeals because being from the north east of England this isn't set too far from home.
Was keen until I saw it will be for PS4 as well. This means graphics etc will be not as good as it could have been since it’s catering to old technology. It’s time to leave that console alone and focus forward not backwards.
I you can't pickup kendal mint cake then gtfo.
I'll wait for a couple months just in case something's wrong. Way too much other stuff to play right now anyway
Reminds me of Bioshock infinite a bit
I'm going to be able to play Fallout 3 and NV on my Retroid 5, and I'm chomping at the bit to get it. I'm looking forward to this game, but nothing compares to the atmosphere in those two games.
Probably the only game I'm looking forwards to, with a possible exception of the new Sonic racer.
Strange that both these games are being released on the PS4 too? Still, if the old stager can run it then why not? That seems to be Sega's standpoint on it anyway.
