One of the highlights of Sony’s refreshed PS Plus Classics approach is that all first-party games tend to include Trophy lists. And the platform holder’s maintained that commitment with the addition of PSP threequel Patapon 3 and PS2 curio Dropship: United Peace Force today.
Both games have Platinums to earn, and you can stack the Trophies if you’re really invested across the separate PS5 and PS4 versions.
Rhythm game Patapon 3 has 40 Trophies to unlock, with the bulk of the gongs available for beating the campaign. You’ll also earn rewards for upgrading your blacksmith, opening treasure chests, and scoring over 100,000,000 points during a summon.
Meanwhile, flight sim Dropship: United Peace Force has 22 Trophies to unlock, again mostly for making your way through the story. Additional trinkets are available for playing through the game’s bonus missions and completing various miscellaneous gameplay tasks during the campaign.
Will you be aiming for the Platinum in any of these newly added titles? Let us know in the comments section below.

So cool that they do this. I never tried Dropship back in the day so might have a run on that one. Patapon is always good for some fun
If you can complete the games to get the platinum. I was playing Ghosthunter on the PS5 and I can't get past the bit near the end. Just crashes whether I play locally or stream. Not sure I can be bothered to start again and try.
Gives a good incentive to play old games again and have more fun with new challenge. Someone needs to have a word and get ridge racer type 4 sorted.
Any word on if those 3 Armored Core games will have trophy support?
@DeepSpace5D we usually find out the day before when the trophy server gets an update (or on the morning of release)
@thefourfoldroot1 type 4 was awesome! I want the og broken sword games
I have good memories of the demo disc of Dropship. Might as well get it.
@Mikey856 Type 4 looked a pure mess on the big tv when i tried it not long ago (rage racer even worse) However the ridge racer 2 psp psn port still looked alright 👍
I love that they add these, but also that they respect your time and don't make the list extremely challenging.
@DeepSpace5D The original Armored Core was published by Sony so that seems like the most likely of the three to get Trophies.
It's hard to say with the non-first party stuff, though. As others have said, we likely won't find out until the day before.
