Sony has today added to its list of Time Limited Trials on PS Plus Premium with a free LEGO Horizon Adventures demo for top-tier subscribers on PS5. Members will get to try the game for one hour from the moment they boot it up, which is enough time to work through a few levels and explore the hub world.
Since release, the LEGO adaptation of Horizon Zero Dawn hasn't enjoyed much of the limelight after a lacklustre critical reception. Sony hasn't shared any sales numbers across PS5, Nintendo Switch, or PC either.
In our LEGO Horizon Adventures PS5 review, we awarded a 6/10 rating and said: "On the one hand, this is a charming, kid-friendly take on Sony's popular series that successfully translates the story, characters, and combat into the LEGO realm — and with real visual polish to boot. On the other, once the novelty wears off, level design feels vacant and repetitive, almost never engaging you with the sort of platforming or puzzle solving you might expect."
If you do like what you play, though, it's a £59.99 / $59.99 purchase to access the full game. You can check out all Time Limited Trials on PS Plus Premium through the link. Will you be trying the demo? Let us know in the comments below.

So you need a payed subscription to play it? So explain how its free? I await your reply you do this every month with the "free monthly PS plus games" that is also a payed subscription you maybe should get a free dictionary from amazon that costs about £5 or get a free kindle subscription that you pay £10 a month for and look up what the word "Free" means i will await an official response and i wont even charge for it
„Paid demos“ were and are a joke.
No thanks Herman, keep it. Wouldn't even punch it in as ps+ essential offering.
it's not a demo, it's a trial. The full game, limited to an hour's place time. The benefit of these is you get a chance to play it properly and come to a decision of whether or not you want to buy it.
Arguably, Should do this with all games, but they and other platform don't and they did originally specify trials were meant to be three hours.
But it is is useful - as a premium subscriber ive made several buy and not-buy decisions based on game trials.
One of the stupidest things Sony does is gatekeep demos behind premium subs. Therefore cutting g off more potential sales. So weird. Also this game sucks.
@liathach Demos should be available all tiers of subscription
It'll be added to plus extra before the end of the year. A god of war Lego game would have done much better. Herman needs to go, not only does he suck at his job, he also shows favoritism.
@Lastochka "Wouldn't even punch it in as ps+ essential offering."
I would punch it in but I would not waste a single minute on it. The game was forgotten the same day it released, this should at least put a stop to any future Lego/Sony colab games.
I'll play the full game if it ever gets added to Essential or Extra. Dont need a 1-hour demo bc i wont be buying it anyway.
Most Lego titles are original, off-beat stories with characters of some fantasy origin. Retelling the same exact story as the real Horizon game is really dumb. Glad the game failed, don’t make a “lego” version of a game that’s already released.
Common sense seems to have abandoned video game developers.
I rented it on release and quite enjoyed it, it's more linear than the usual lego games and can be completed in about 7 hours so it's worth giving a try if it comes to Playstation plus but I wouldn't recommend buying it at its current price.
My sons (5 and 8) have so much fun with this game. I enjoyed it as well. Easy plat to.
@Bunchesopuppies actually the story is a very loose interpretation of the game. It really only starts the same and veers off.
I enjoyed the game as a light pallet cleanser. I would recommend if it's ever on sale or for kids. Personally I really enjoyed the graphics and the fact that everything's made of Lego in this game.
One hour? How generous
As a fan of both Horizon open world games, but not particularly Lego games, I was initially interested in LHA, but passed after the reviews. Like some other commenters, this demo move doesn't make sense to me. May give it a try if/when the demo is released with no strings.
So people now don't want smaller AA games?
That’s like getting a pair of socks for Xmas.
I love the Horizon series. I love LEGOs. But I despise LEGO video games. Skipping this one.
@Brundleflies21 people are full of crap! They only say things to be contrarian.
I don't get why demos are locked behind a subscription. Aren't they meant to convince as many people to buy the full game?
Great game to play coop with kids. I was a bit surprised with the level structure but the repetitive combat areas make it easier for my daughter to plan her actions. She’s 6 and it’s her first „real” game.
*We play it on Switch.
