Fallout fans starved of the life-giving essence of Amazon's excellent TV adaptation have been thrown a bone; filming was paused due to the LA wildfires (with firefighting efforts being hindered by none other than the co-founder of Treyarch), but star Walter Goggins, who plays The Ghoul, says that what they've got cooking will be well worth the wait.
In an interview with Deadline (thanks, VGC), Goggins provided a progress update, and we can't help but anticipate the next instalment of the riveting storyline. We know our heroes are headed for New Vegas, where they will encounter none other than former child star Macaulay Culkin in an unnamed role (Mr. House, anyone?). The Ghoul said:
"We’re in the middle of filming it right now. We’ve been at it since November, and I can tell you that I thought season 1 was extraordinary. I was very pleased with it. This blows it out of the water. What these writers and the artisans have done, coming together to tell this story, is really going to be something, and I can’t wait for people to see it. We’re working really hard to make that happen."
Are you looking forward to season 2 of Amazon's Fallout adaptation? Watch out for radroaches in the comments section below.

Been waiting for it since I finished season 1.
I've 2 episodes left to finish of season 1, but I'm already well up for season 2! Love how a lot of the stuff which happens in the show reminds me of the games.
Man still filming? Ugh.
@rjejr The production got affected by the LA wildfires iirc so cut them so slack.
It’s WaltON Goggins is it not?
I'll be watching season 2.
@Niktaw It very much is.
Whaaaaaaat? Actor, director, screenwriter etc. is talking in superlatives about the production they're involved in? Never seen that before...
Probably part of his contract.
I've seen so many people say their film/series/game is the best thing in the universe... until it flops. Then they take a huge dump on it and blame everyone else.
Most game adaptations are terrible but this is brilliant. Looking forward to season 2.
@Niktaw correctomondo. Walton it is. Unless this is his lesser known ghoul brother?
Honestly, if it’s that far along it feels like this is a quick turnaround to season 2, especially considering delays from the fires. Usually these big budget TV shows take a few years.
@Niktaw yes indeed it is.
It's been over 8 hours and the man's name is still not corrected.
Article and headline say “Walter” but he’s “Walton”
Just fyi.
Thanks
Edit: I see it's mentioned above too.
Amazing actor. If anyone's not familiar with his work checkout "The Shield" and "Justified".
@PegasusActual93 No doubt about this. I was just saying how quick people are to sh*t on what they were promoting.
While this seems like something he's pretty much obligated to say (maybe even contractually as some have suggested) but the first season was really, really good. I don't care much for the games so maybe that distance allows me to enjoy the series without much scrutiny but whatever the case may be, looking forward to season 2 with or without Goggins' endorsement.
@anoyonmus Has nothing to do with production or fires, just how so many of the shows I watch these days take 2 years to make 1 short season. I've spent 90% of my life watching 22 episode show seasons w/ 4 month breaks, these new far out spaced productions are literally killing me slowly.
