While there’s lots of enthusiasm around classic The Sims experiences right now, The Sims 4 continues to grow and grow. While we’ve been critical of the game’s rusty performance on the PS4 – oh, how we wished a native PS5 port would emerge – the new Business & Hobbies expansion sounds like a ton of fun.
As its name implies, there’s a lot to look forward to with this update. Business is at the beating heart of the add-on, allowing you to create your own companies within the game. You can charge passing Simoleons for entry or by the hour, and decide whether you want to hire eligible staff or keep things in the family.
You’ll be able to choose whether you want to run an above-board business or indulge in your unscrupulous side, but scamming your customers will have consequences on your Sims’ lives outside of work.
The really cool thing about this expansion is that it dovetails with other content you may or may not own. So, by default, you’ll be able to open a tattoo parlour or pottery school, but if you own the Cats and Dogs add-on, for example, you’ll also be able to open a pet café.
Other businesses include: dance clubs and arcades (Get Together), karaoke bars (City Living), acting school (Get Famous), launderette (Laundry Day), bowling alley (Bowling Night), and spa (Spa Day). So, if you’re a The Sims 4 power player, then you’ve got an absolutely insane amount of business opportunities here.
The add-on will also include a new world in the form of Nordhaven, and anyone who pre-orders before 18th April will get some bonus items, including the Practice Makes Perfect Priscilla Statue, Sweetest Treat Display Case, and Beautiful Flaws Lamp.
The expansion itself is scheduled to release on 6th March, with a detailed gameplay trailer due to drop in the coming days. Has this convinced you to revive your old Sims save? Let us know in the comments section below.

I don't know why EA keeps churning out these DLC but still don't bother to release a native PS5 version of the game.
@ATaco It's definitely frustrating. Even if they didn't really improve the graphics much, a native PS5 version would load much quicker and be a smoother overall experience.
I've never understood this series tbh, but I'm glad that people have fun with it.
Might sound awesome but it's not this should have been in Get to Work and other expansions, it's like the pack coming out now at ideas taking out of precious packs and they charge £35 that's if you don't pre order it early on cdkeys which usually puts them out at £22 for pre order
