Tomb Raider Archives, a compilation of old Top Cow comics published in 2016, can be prohibitively expensive to pick up these days, so heap a little praise on Dark Horse for the Tomb Raider Colossal Collection.
This epic, almost 900-page tome, collates 34 comics featuring heroine Lara Croft, all originally released from 1999 to 2003. It’s due out on 24th June.
Annoyingly, it’s missing one issue, a Witchblade crossover which is prohibited due to licensing issues. But you’re getting everything else, in one giant hardback book for $99.99.
“Armed with an encyclopaedic knowledge of history, years of experience, and dual pistols, Lara will go to the ends of the earth to preserve the world's most precious treasures from a shadowy organization intent on her destruction,” the blurb reads.
“Luckily Lara won't have to go it alone as she's joined by roguish playboy Chase Carver and her buttoned-up assistant Madeline Hovan! Join Lara and her friends as they face down unfathomable foes, betrayal, and ancient secrets!”

If you have any interest in these old Tomb Raider comics, we’d recommend putting in a pre-order for this, as the aforementioned Archives did go out of print fast. Hopefully that’s not the case here, but our advice is to get it while you can.

Without wishing to be Officer Dibble I’m pretty sure it was Top COW who published the Tomb Raider comics in this collection not the indisputable leader of the gang 😉
@Only1PJA Man, that reference made me feel old.
Yes, there was also a resident evil comic from top cow at the time that was pretty good.
If this is Volume 1, I don’t know what could be Volume 2
@Only1PJA Haha, typo. Fixed!
Might order this as i never read them.
That looks amazing, but wish there were a box-set option. Omnibus tomes are so hard to actually read.
What a crazy coincidence. Last week I was looking through some online stores to find a good collection of the Top Cow comics, but my poor wallet needed time to prepare for the high prices.😅 Guess I get this collection then.
The lack of the Witchblade crossover issues is no problem. I find those somewhere else.
I'm curious, was the Witchblade crossover a standalone issue or was it part of a regular Tomb Raider arc?
Edit: Oop, not to worry, the Wiki sorted me out — it was part one of a three-part crossover which continued in Witchblade and Evo 1. No huge loss, I'd say.
@PinderSchloss since it’s being done by Dark Horse a volume 2 would likely contain all the TR comics they published around the survivor trilogy of games
@Only1PJA Ah yes, keep forgetting about those. They’re ok games but don’t feel one bit like Tomb Raider games.
@PinderSchloss Rise Of is one of my favourite games of last gen but I agree that none of the trilogy are Tomb Raider games in the classic sense
