Dave the Diver developer Mintrocket has announced a release date of 10th April, 2025 for the Like a Dragon collab DLC, Ichiban's Holiday.
However, fans should be aware that they will have a limited timeframe of six months in which to purchase the DLC before it is removed from digital storefronts, like PS Store.
This information was shared during the above video, a dev diary going over the DLC, new merchandise, and more.
Mintrocket has confirmed that you will be able to play the DLC as much as you want; the limited window only refers to how long you'll be able to buy it.
Announced earlier this year, Ichiban's Holiday sees the big-haired character journey to the Blue Hole, and he quickly finds trouble when he discovers antagonistic group Sea Blue is capturing dolphins.
Infiltrating their base, he teams up with Cobra to take the organisation down. This mission turns the game into a classic side-scrolling beat-'em-up, looking very much like Streets of Rage.
On top of that, Like a Dragon's karaoke minigame appears to be lifted wholesale into Dave the Diver, and some characters from SEGA's series will appear as potential staff members for Bancho Sushi.

They did this before (was it with Godzilla? I forget) it's such a weird decision.
The license for the Yakuza IP is probably far cheaper if it's for a limited contractual period, so this is most likely the reason that the DLC has a time limit placed on it.
This isn't a problem for me, because I detest Dave the Diver. It is simultaneously really cute and fun, and completely awful. It has the worst boss fights in any game I've ever played. It should have been about fishing and running the restaurant, yet it is consumed by poor puzzles, boss fights, and combat.
Then keep it, dumb fomo strategy.
Crossovers are probably one of the dumbest current trends in gaming.
FOMO is a stupid sales tactic
So now we have GaaS masquerading as DLCs? I'll just remove the base game from my wishlist, this is just too dumb.
@zhoont What put me off as well
