Update []: Following the discovery of the ESRB rating (details below), Indiana Jones and the Great Circle's PS5 release details appear to have been leaked.
The information comes from reliable insider billbil-kun.
According to the leaker (posting via Dealabs), the game will be heading to Sony's current-gen console on 17th April, 2025.
The report also alleges that pre-orders will begin on 25th March, and pre-ordering the Premium edition will grant you 48 hours of early access to the game. Apparently, the Standard (£69.99/$69.99) and Premium (£99.99/$99.99) versions will be available at physical retail as well.
Given billbil-kun's pretty spotless track record, we're inclined to believe this will all be proven accurate in the coming days. If the release date really is that close, an official confirmation is likely happening very soon.
Original Story: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has been confirmed for PS5 since last summer, and a recent age rating suggests it may finally be on the horizon.
Released on Xbox and PC in December 2024, the PS5 port of MachineGames' first-person adventure title has now been rated by the ESRB, as pointed out by Wario64:
Though this doesn't tell us exactly when Great Circle will launch on Sony's console, it does suggest that it's not far away. Games are typically not awarded age certifications until close to release.
Last month, The Verge's Tom Warren stated Xbox is targeting an April release for Indy on PS5; if true, you might only need to wait a few weeks to play this highly rated adventure.
Whatever the case, it's going to be a very busy time for Microsoft on Sony's hardware, as it's already confirmed Forza Horizon 5 for late April and DOOM: The Dark Ages for mid-May.

Day one buy, without a doubt!
After the disappointment of Forza Horizon 5 being digital only, I wonder if Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will get a physical release on PS5? I’ve been hyped for this one for a while, so l really hope so!
Id love to buy this when it comes out for ps5 but only of its physical,if digital only then absolutely no buy ,but it sds like a great game
Yes I’ve been dying to play this
I'm surprised it's taking so long to get a release date.
My game of the year last year, hugely excited to replay 👍
Busy time, indeed. And not just for Microsoft Studio games, there’s a lot of good looking releases coming out this year. As much as I want to play Indiana Jones, I don’t know if it will be day 1 for me with all the other options this year.
I've already finished it on Xbox but I'll probably buy it when it goes on sale one of the best games i played last year.
I played a few hours of Indiana Jones on Xbox Series X via Game Pass. From that initial experience, this game is pretty solid. If my PlayStation backlog and current games weren’t so full, I’d definitely play it more. The music and voice acting took me immediately back to my childhood in the 80s to when Indiana Jones was a top tier movie trilogy.
I'll be getting this but it might not be at launch (depending on how much time I take with AC Shadows and some other stuff)
Did they confirm a physical release for this (or lack thereof)?
Will be waiting for a sale on this one.
Removed - unconstructive feedback
No disk no buy even than would wait for used !
At this rate with DS2 and other games and GTA and COD and FIFA.
When the hell are they going to fit GHOST 2 in from the best of the lot Sony Studios?
I’ll definitely be playing this. I completed it on my Series X and was only one trophy away from getting 100%, but it was bugged. Hopefully with the PS5 release, all of the updates and patches will be included. It also feels like a good Spring game.
Best line from all the movies... "That ain't a knife, THIS is a knife!"
Imagine in 2025 people still not playing a game if there is no physical release. SOFT
@bowzoid Was that not Crocodile Dundee ??
Im interested in playing but so much stuff out that is more interesting to get to. I’ll probably grab on a deep discount
@lets_do-this_1999 Played it on Series X, and enjoyed it greatly. If it gets a physical release on PS5, I will 100% buy it.
I'd say its a very busy time for Bethesda on Sony's console, as it has been for years now.
@Jrs1 ah my bad, ok this line... "Nice beaver"
I’d say do your research before parting with cash. I bounced off pretty early as it turned into a bit of an open world fetch quest type affair.
I wanted something very linear but that’s just me.
@bowzoid @bowzoid "Thanks love ive just had it stuffed" - Roy Chubby Brown 🤣
dskatter,oh great really pleased to hear lots people enjoying it ,it does sd my type of game even though I have backlog lol
@bowzoid yeah that was a gun
@bowzoid indeed
I don't feel a pressing urge to get to this despite my love for Indiana Jones. I'll definitely play it at some point but I'm doing well obliterating my backlog at the minute so I'll probably pick this up down the road.
For anyone who doesn't have an Xbox/PC and missed this one, it's well worth the playthrough. I played it on Series S using Game Pass, and while it looked muddy on the Series S, it was an enjoyable gameplay experience. I'm going to be purchasing this one for sure on the PS5 Pro to play it in higher fidelity. Yes, I'm purchasing this game even though I have it on Game Pass. If you like Indiana Jones, it's that good and worth the money, plus I want a physical case to put next to the movies!
@Kraven If it’s the bug I think it is, that’s been fixed.
@Cornpop76 totally agree, played a good part of the game, but got so bored of it. Think if it had more action it would have been bettet, it was mostly stealth, fetch quest. Shame as graphics and voice acting was spot on. Glad i played it on gamepass. For anyone who hasnt played it id wait for a sale on it honestly.
Better be a physical copy.
Any word on a physical release?
Hope they improve quality of graphics. Like jello is on the screen on the series s
Just like forza horizon this will be digital only.
No physical, no buy.
Will buy it on sale.
Nice! The people that still think physical copies means you own the game self contained on disc preserved and will forever be able to play it will be pleased as well... Lol until reality hits
This early access garbage is getting ridiculous and honestly just sad.
Same as forza if it's sells well expect the flood gates open all the other xbox exclusives I'll be buying this and avowed and hellblade 2 when they come to ps5
Well that's great news that indiana will be apparently available as a physical edition also on ps5 ,and if that's defo the case then I'll get the physical standard edition:)
@Cornpop76 it’s not too open. It’s excellent.
Hopefully physical is a true physical version and not that stupid code in box nonsense.
@x3King84 What about Switch?
“The report also alleges that pre-orders will begin on 25th March, and pre-ordering the Premium edition will grant you 48 hours of early access to the game.“
This whole early access thing is ridiculous 🙄
@BansheeNorn Please share your source for this.
@heavyartillery56 what do you mean?
Genuine question to the ‘no disc, no buy’ crowd… what is it that makes it no buy?
I’ve personally found that discs and boxes are just clutter, are dying out and don’t actually feature the whole game anyway.
I wish digital was a bit cheaper but I’ve enjoyed building digital libraries this gen and Steam has been like that for years. Convenient and accessible. I like the idea of getting a new or replacement console/PC and just transferring everything over.
Early access... right...
Perfect timing for my birthday. May get a patch if needed before I get it
Nice to know it seems to be getting a physical release.
@x3King84 most games do have the whole thing on disc, even if it may be a bit buggy without updates. Meaning that at least some form of the game can be played well into the future. Some people like being able to sell their games and some people like collecting. As you mentioned, physical can often be cheaper as well. Overall, I don't have anything against people who prefer digital, even though I buy 99% of my games physical. Its good for consumers to have options at the end of the day.
@HammerKirby3 it is crazy that digital is so expensive considering no shipping, manufacture, etc. Sales can be good though and CDkeys and Eneba are good for PC/Xbox games but PS games seem only available via the closed PS Store market. Buying discounted gift cards can work out though.
Choice is good I agree but I think it’s inevitable discs will disappear. I think that is sad in lots of ways but it will happen sooner than we think.
@x3King84 Yea it definitely will happen at some point I agree. Especially with games basically being reliant on three manufacturers deciding to continue to support physical media unlike something like Blu Ray or whatever where anyone can make a blu ray player. Microsoft will definitely not have a disc drive on their next console. Nintendo will probably continue to support physical for quite awhile given they still sell around 50% or more of their first party titles physically and just them being a little more old fashioned generally. Sony I'm a little iffy on, but I think ps6 will probably have physical media in some form or another. Isn't CDKeys kinda sketch from what I'm heard? Idk I really only play games on PlayStation and Nintendo consoles when it comes to modern stuff.
@Daleaf yeah my eyes rolled when it said:
"Go acquire a camera"
then
"Go take photos of these three things"
I was like what?! Is this World of Warcraft or Life is Strange?! This is supposed to be Indiana Jones. Over the top action and adventure like a 1950's boys comic.
I mean it's not a bad game. It's actually a very good game and I can see why people like it. Hence why people need to do their research and not just look at the Indiana Jones image on the box cover and buy it with expectations of the wrong game.
@HammerKirby3 CDkeys is very reliable. Been using for years with zero issues. Can buy full PC/Xbox games and gift cards for all the platforms at decent discounts. Sometimes 13% off.
My guess on PS6 will be optional disc drive to play previous gen games but virtually all new PS6 games will be digital only barring the odd one.
I’m looking forward to Indy on the PS5. I’ve got it through GP on PC (Xbox) but I don’t rate the optimisation… my PC is pretty good though. I’m hoping an optimised console may actually be better here. As people have said, it’s more an adventure stealth game with some action rather than all action but I love it. Masterpiece I would say.
Looking forward to playing this one
Been waiting for this! Looks excellent, and so very Indy.
If all of Microsoft's big titles follow suit of no physical edition, I'll find it tough to pick up any of them.
@KundaliniRising333 - incorrect, it means if I don’t like it I can sell it on eBay.
Physical only for me.
Yea physical disc only for me.
