Capcom has given us a deep dive into Title Update 1 for Monster Hunter Wilds. The game's first major update launches next week, on Friday the 4th April, and it's absolutely packed with new stuff.

If you've fallen off Wilds since its launch last month, then these additions should pull you back in. There's a new monster to hunt, the return of Arch-tempered bosses, and more.

We've broken all of the info down into a handy bullet point list:

  • Mizutsune has its own equipment that can be forged

  • New Rey Dau Gamma armour sets can be forged
  • High Rank Zoh Shia is being added, and can be hunted via dynamic region quests

  • Specific Arena Quests are being added, allowing you to compete with other players for the fastest completion times on leaderboards, and earn cosmetic pendants depending on your performance
  • Some Arena and Challenge Quests require players to use predetermined equipment
  • There's a new outfit for Alma that you can have her change into (alongside a new pair of glasses)
  • Free DLC including new player gestures from past games, is being added
