Fortnite is collaborating with Mortal Kombat for its next big update, with several new character skins joining the previously released Sub-Zero.
The Scorpion outfit is available now in the Shop, and following a game update arriving tomorrow, 1st April 2025, the character will also feature on the Battle Royale island.
Scorpion can be found at one of three locations: The Pit, The Living Forest, and The Dead Pool. Players who defeat him will be rewarded with Scorpion's Mythic Kombat Kit as well as the First Blood Medallion. The regular version of Scorpion's Kombat Kit will also appear in chests, and you'll also have various new quests to complete.
Also coming on 1st April is the Klassic Kombat Bundle, featured in the shop and containing skins for Scorpion, Raiden, and Kitana, as well as numerous related cosmetics.

This hurts my soul, why do Sub Zero and Scorpion have Lamborghini Countachs? (I've never played Fortnite)
Pre MK1 reboot, or post MK1 reboot?... it looks Pre.
Are NR having second thoughts about this reboot I wonder - when they did it before in 2011 (i think), it was OK as the characters were left largely intact, but this recent one didnt work imo.
@Rich33 Most of the changes were largely liked.
@DennisReynolds
Were they? All of the people Ive spoken to about the game were not very happy about the changes - including Characters (and im not just talking about the controversial re-sexing of Characters), gameplay, kameo fighter system, story, part of multiverse etc.
I would add though, that most of those I remember talking to about it were of an age group that can remember the early games.
@Rich33 Well the Kameo system is most likely a MK1 gimmick so like the system or not it was never coming back for MK2.
Now granted i'm going by the MK subreddit here but multiverse stuff aside people seemed to like the various changes. Scorpion seemed to get a positive reception, the whole sub is thirsty for Sub Zero, Mileena seems to be agreed to be the best version of her, they liked the new Raiden, Sindel was liked, Reptile and Baraka's changes were loved. The story was also liked up till the multiverse stuff came about.
Really the things people don't like is the game feeling unfinished, lack of content and too much greed. The gameplay was widely liked though outside of the kameos and the roster is agreed to be the best since MK9.
@DennisReynolds
In my original post I was thinking more character back stories and appearances, along with the changes to the universe from a story point of view, rather than purely the mechanics / play styles of the characters.
From what I remember, i wasnt a huge fan of some of the play style changes either on a number of characters (most of which aren't in your listed liked characters), though just to prove Im not being dismissive out of turn with the game - i really liked the new Reptile and his part/full transformation attacks.
@Rich33 all these skins are based on MK3.
Only Sub-Zero has an extra MK1 (2023) style which is unlockable.
This design is way better than the MK1 version 😃
