We've been saying this for ages, but marketing campaigns just don't get much better than PlayStation Japan's consistently superb efforts.
The team's pumped out some amazing — and undeniably Japanese — ads over the years, and this latest video is no different. It's actually an expanded version of the 30th Anniversary commercial that launched earlier in the month, and it's a pleasure to gawk at.
Featuring a specially-made song from Japanese pop duo YOASOBI — which went on to top music charts, we should add — the video's soaked in PS1 memory card nostalgia, and the animation style is top notch.

They've always done it best.
I would buy that memory card faster than it takes for it to contain corrupted save blocks
Yoasobi are great, and the full video is brilliant.
They always had the best adverts for games
The ads looks cool but if only back then Sony put the same effort to promote Puppeteer, Wild Arms, Soul Sacrifice, Patapon, Jeanne D'Arc, Folklore, and many games from Japan Studios that doesn't get proper marketing.
This is utterly brilliant (other than the screaming anime girl)
Pretty cool video, but it doesn't exactly showcase what's great about Playstation, imo. Perhaps some cool gameplay would be nice.
So Japanese it can make you turn Japanese just watching it 😂
Not that I don't like bunch of modern Playstation IPs, but the zany energy of this doesn't exactly translate into their current game offering, besides like Astro Bot.
This really reminds me of what videogames were like in the 90s - and personally for me so much more fun and better for it.
Absolutely love this!
Great advert they couldn't advertise like this in the west they would slap the word woke all over the advert.
I want that memory card! I would pay actual real money for one, especially if it actually worked...
