Concord, the PS5 multiplayer shooter that no longer exists, is fetching frankly ridiculous prices on sites like eBay as its physical edition is becoming something of a collector's item.
Boxed copies of the failed sci-fi FPS are being resold on the site for upwards of £300, in some cases, with several more listings still in triple digits.
Typically it seems to be selling for around £40, but it seems some are hoping to catch people out or take advantage of the game's enigmatic nature for a quick buck. Whatever you pay, though, you're effectively getting nothing in return.
The game itself launched in August 2024, and lasted about two weeks before Sony pulled the plug due to an unbelievable lack of sales and disastrous player numbers.
A few months later, it was announced it would not be making a return, and the developer, Firewalk Studio, would be shut down.
No longer available to buy digitally and with all online functionality switched off, all that's left is the physical PS5 version, and it seems leftover stock is finding its way online for exorbitant prices.
Customers who purchase the game — at any price, let alone £300+ — will of course not be able to play the game at all. It can only really serve as a collector's item for your shelf.

Interestingly, the Concord limited edition DualSense controller is also going for super high prices, though this is perhaps more understandable as it was only released in limited quantities.
Again, you can expect to pay north of £300 for this item, and while that's ludicrously high, you're at least getting something usable for your money.
Do you have a physical copy of Concord knocking about? Do you think it'll end up being a truly valuable item, given the game's story? Discuss in the comments section below.

I bought 1000 copies of the game for 1000$ and burried them on a piece of land I own. I guess my land is now worth at least 300 000$.
At this rate one person on eBay will make more money than the commercial run of the entire game’s lifespan.

@nessisonett 1 copy sold for £30 is more than Sony actually made 😁
I genuinely regret not buying this on disc when it was $40 just so I could own an infamous piece of gaming history.
And we have another point of debate in the digital vs physical media argument! Lol
Sony should get in on the action and start selling them cheekily on a dodgy ebay account
@Czar_Khastik Lets make Concord Coin Cryptocurrency before it's too late. We'll call it Coincord.
I knew I should have got one of these when they shut it down. FFS!
Oh no! Have these people not heard the recent disc rot news?
And at which prices are these copies actually sold? This is what counts, not some random numbers „or Best Offer“. The only transparent source are completed auctions, these are what scalpers are really afraid of!
@Alps_Stranger Nooooo! It might be even MORE unplayable in 30+ years! THE FOOLS!
Just looked on ebay (UK) and the game is going for between £30-£40. No one is paying these absurd prices.
@UltimateOtaku91 The last UKG Graded(95) one sold for £180 in February, so it’s sort of true. The proper sealed and near perfect condition copies are quite valuable as collector’s items it appears. Your random used copy is probably worth about £30 though.
The controllers appear to be legitimately selling for £300+
@PocketHotDogs Release Coincorde in 10 years to celebrate it's commemorative anniversary for like $1,000 each. 🤣
I get the controllers going up in price but the game itself is pretty absurd
I bought a copy to put in a picture frame in my gaming room. Glad I did now, but I still don't think it'll ever get to Stadium Events levels of insanity. Even so, it's the biggest flop in video game history, of course a sealed copy is going to be worth something as a curiosity eventually.
Did they bury them all next to the E.T games
Could this game become more of a joke in any way??
I literally bought two copies for ~30€ each a week ago... and a quick check on ebay US shows similar prices... there are always people putting super high prices on everything, doesn't mean it sells at those prices...
Overwatch.....
How many games exists that are dead,
but is still alive outside the digital world?
On any system...
The collectors market for video games is totally absurd.
Literally a non-functioning piece of plastic with a physical value of pennies and people want it like some sort of collectors item.
I guess it saves them from ending up in a landfill somewhere and rotting in the ground.
Well thats one reason to buy your game physical i suppose. When they hard flop they are worth 10X what you paid.
This shows that Sony has no idea how to do business.
I have physical copies of Battleborn, Evolve, and Sing Star Celebrate for the PS4, so…whoopideedoo! I don’t have Concord, though. Say, I wonder how much that Concord PS5 controller is going to go up in value. 🤔
I am a playstation collector but i dont collect garbage.
@rjejr I can already smell the success.
Maybe it's time to sell my copy, and buy a pro in return.
Glad I jumped on buying 3 Concord controllers.
@RBMango You definitely still can, that's what it actually sells for. The article only mentions the outrageously priced ones. But they're mostly for sale currently in the $20-30 range lol
Bought a sealed copy last year for £16.
There are literally stacks of this game on eBay for under 30 quid. This article is just misinformation.
Graded versions are in the sold filter for like £200. But graded is weird anyway, you are basically turning your game into a nft or cryptocurrency at that point. For the speculators rather than the gamers. I guess it doesn't even matter that it's not even playable any more.
Ah yes the game with no private servers insight at all? So why put prices up for something no one wants. Same with Overwatch one but that was popular enough so will people treat it the same?
Either way like many server ended stuff not surprised.
If someone that owns it archives it sure or makes private servers with enough to go on off the games sure, but otherwise if most don't care/know it exists then why bother.
Resellers seriously think people are that gullible or really want a complete set that badly of PS5 games. Why even bother. XD
Were Battleborn copies that expensive no because no one cared. I did but I didn't have PS+ at the time either so oh well.
Lawbreakers or others get private serviers do those go cheap even if only few people care about them.
Those that go offline like GT Sport and are still playable (because I do my research and even put it on the wiki and did the testing). But it's a GT game so not the best example compared to others they sell well.
Limited copies of good games is unfortunate, or bad games that aren't worth it, toddler games on PS1 who even wants them at all other then a certain type of collector or those reliving them I guess or whatever. Kids games are great but toddler ones not as much.
Or those people hype up the similarities/feel of a game like Piglet's Big Movie games are just so stupid by resellers.
@Czar_Khastik That is also the value your comments add to PushSquare.
@Czar_Khastik lol E.T might be getting a run for it's money then
A fool and their money are soon parted.
@Rhaoulos Thanks mate, I appreciate it! I'll try to get a cut in site's profits then
I get there's a morbid curiosity there - but the main difference between Concord and pretty well every other "collector" game is that you can (with the right hardware) still play the game. Concord is dead, even on the disc. Edit - I can however understand why this might continue on PC... but once again, not as a collector item (the box art isn't that good.
@get2sammyb don't sweat it - so few people bought this - that the actual market is VERY LIMITED. They can ask (and sell) for 1000's of GBP or AUD... and a VERY small number of people may buy it... but it's going to be such a small sub-set of collectors, it will not likely last IMO.
However... yes, you most likely could have flipped it for a tidy profit in the current stupid environment (when people buy meme-bitcoins knowing that the price will fall through the floor).
@Czar_Khastik that comment would be funnier if the price of land wasn't already so exorbitantly expensive (at least where I live) that $300,000 seems like a great deal. Even if I have to dig up the games to dump them elsewhere.

This entire story is not true.
Just look at how much money 2nd hand concords actually sold for
There are loads available around the original RRP on eBay. The fact that some a**holes are listing something on eBay for silly money isn't really news.
Obviously some people like to try their luck.
If anyone is daft enough to pay it then more Fool them
@Barryburton97 exactly
@nessisonett What a clever observation!
This is what ebay had become. Most sellers on ebay tend to get any obscure items then turn around and sell them at obscene prices because with the near 25% commission that ebay charges it's the only way to make money. And it cost very little to post a listing and you only pay when an item actually sells. And turning a profit on older video games is almost a Ponzi scheme, in my opinion.
@Rodimusprime13 eBay don't charge commissions anymore. They do add a few % onto the bill for the buyer though. Similar end result.
@Barryburton97 They don't call it a commission but take off around 25% on things like video games and movies but they go out of the way to hide it and unless you go through multiple web pages you can't really see what they're actually charging.
@Rodimusprime13 yeah that's not true for private sellers at all. Maybe you're refering to business sellers, but the fees are pretty transparent.
@Barryburton97 What I see on the ebay website is a general 13.4% for general category, 15.2 for movie and CD, and no information about fees for video games in particular. And the is just for individual sellers, if you want to get a ebay store you pay a monthly fee. Then on top of that ebay will charge you additional fees if you don't preform to there exceptions. Then they charge a fee on the final cost, and the shipping fees are not cheap which limits how much you can make. After eBay got rid of PayPal and started handing this themselves eBay is a hassle to deal with. The only thing worth selling on eBay is unique items that are hard to come by. For video games you'll often better off selling then to GameStop since you'll end up better off, even with just store credit.
