Publisher Devolver Digital and solo developer Sam Eng have announced their skateboarding game Skate Story is heading to PS5 in summer 2025.
Previously only confirmed for release on PC, this game is a skateboarding title in which you play a demon made of glass on a mission to fulfil a contract for the devil.
Unlike most skating games, Skate Story features more of a narrative adventure to follow as you traverse layers of the underworld. However, it is still first and foremost about skating; you'll be pulling off tricks and combos as you explore each dark realm.

Through these actions you'll meet new characters and even fight bosses.
There will be areas you can skate more freely, allowing you to practice the 70+ tricks in the game. You'll also be able to level up through special trials, as well as customise your board.
Between this and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, which is launching in July, it's going to be skateboarding bliss this summer.

Looks cool, would like it to come to PSVR2 at some point.
I watched SkillUp’s preview of this earlier in the year and it looks fascinating.

This has got an intriguing look to it.
Made of glass? Oh they don’t want me to play this game.
