Update []: Everybody’s Golf: Hot Shots, developed under license from Sony by Bandai Namco, will be releasing on PS5.

While the title was revealed for Nintendo Switch during the latest Nintendo Direct, a new trailer confirms the title will also release on Sony’s system – which is a relief!

The game seems to be based on PS Vita entry Everybody’s Golf: World Invitational, but there are some clear differences, like new chibi-style character models which we’re not massively fond of. It’s perhaps worth noting that original creator Clap-Hanz does not appear to be involved.

The release is due out later in 2025.

Original Story: Everybody’s Golf is getting its first new release in years, with the classic Clap-Hanz franchise coming to… Well, Nintendo Switch.

The franchise, owned by Sony, is being licensed out to Bandai Namco, as part of a new trend which also saw Freedom Wars release on Nintendo’s console earlier this year. Patapon is also coming to the Switch, again via a licensing agreement.

While we’re starved of details right now, Everybody’s Golf: Hot Shots – which is what the Switch game is named – looks like a port of Everybody’s Golf: World Invitational to us, which launched on the PS Vita over 10 years ago.

There’s no word just yet on whether this is coming to the PS5, but we’ll check with Bandai Namco and update when we know more.
