Big Bad Wolf, the developer behind story-centric titles The Council and Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong, has today revealed its next narrative game for PS5. Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss was one of the headliners from today's Nacon Connect livestream, and it's slated to release in 2026. Check out the announcement trailer above.

The game uses the first-person perspective and is described as a "psychological thriller" focusing on the investigation behind the disappearance of miners in the Pacific Ocean. "His quest will lead him to the labyrinthine prison of R’lyeh, an ancient sunken city where Cthulhu is imprisoned. Alongside his AI companion Key, Noah must solve complex puzzles, make choices that will shape his fate, and resist the mind-corrupting influence of Cthulhu."
