After a number of cycling titles — of both the management and Tour De France variety — Blood Bowl 3, and Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood, the French developer Cyanide Studios has announced it's returning to what it's probably best known for: the stealth-focused Styx series. A third entry in the franchise has been revealed during today's Nacon Connect livestream, with the first look available above.
Here's the setup: "Staying true to its winning formula, the game offers open-ended environments, a vast range of powers and tools, and multiple approaches to completing objectives. The mission? Steal Quartz, a rare and magical resource, while eliminating enemies with skill and precision." Styx: Blades of Greed releases for PS5 in Fall 2025.

This is such an underrated series. I never hear anyone talk about it, but they’re great games.
@Odium I’ve only played the first one but I agree. Great games
YES! ✌️ Day One for sure. I love the first 2 and me and my friend talked about them just a few days ago so this is excellent news! 🥰
@Boucho11 Play second too, it's excellent 👑
Day one for me. Loved the first 2 and people really need to give these a go if they haven't played them before
Nice. Looking forward to this and glad to see the studio have still been working on the IP.
@graymamba Interested in this? I can recommend the previous two games, the latter one is much easier to get into and it doesn’t really matter too much if you haven’t played the other one. Good AA quality games.
@CaptD maybe, I do like a bit of stealth. Would you consider the Styx games as immersive sims… if so, I may well pick up the previous games too?
I enjoyed the first two titles, so this made my day.
@graymamba
I wouldn’t call it an immersive sim.
You basically get a number of missions to complete starting each from a hub area, it isn’t open world. Stealth is the name of the game as you are fairly weak and will die often and nearly every time if fighting more than one opponent (quick saving is essential). You have a number of skills, poisoning food, poison darts, cloning (used more for puzzles than anything).
@CaptD I just watched a review of the first two… I like what I saw tbh. Wishlisted both if them 👍
I'll be holding off playing the first two until this comes out.
I really enjoyed the first two games. It can be difficult at times but a great experience.
Gollum wishes he could be as cool as Styx.
First Styx game was genuinely fantastic. Didn't know it was the same guys that did werewolf: the apocalypse-eaethblood, which was essentially a ps2 filler title released 20 years too late.
I love this game. Great news.
