Dark Mass is a psychological horror game set entirely underwater, which is honestly a pretty freaky concept in and of itself. Developed by Path Games, it will be released on PS5 in Fall 2026.
Players will don the wetsuit of Alice, a deep-sea explorer who, with the assistance of her brother Reed, set out to investigate the wreckage of a sunken ship. To their surprise, beneath it, they find an eerily untouched manor house, seemingly untouched by time.
Entering the manor, Alice quickly deduces that she is not alone, hunted by a monstrous entity bound to the place. Underwater levels are inherently oppressive, and so to build an entire horror experience around that is quite novel, and we fear this one may be too spooky for us from the outset.

What do you think of Dark Mass? Do you find what Path Games claims to be the "first fully underwater horror experience" to be an appealing prospect? Dive into the comments sections below.

This game reminds me of a horror movie called The Deep House...
Wait and see for me. Never heard of the dev and the trailer doesn't have game play. Interesting concept though, execution will be key and decent swimming mechanics.
Looks interesting but I'm just not gonna care about it if it's revealed to be another walking sim game.
The voice acting sounded a bit off but the graphics look great so far. Looking forward to seeing more though.
Too bad it's digital only
