Gacha game Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Familia Myth Battle Chronicle will end service on PS5 and PS4 from 29th September.

It’s worth noting that the PC and mobile versions will remain in operation, so this news only affects the PlayStation release. Presumably, there wasn’t much uptake for this auto-battler to justify its ongoing support.

Service will continue as normal until 30th July, when paid in-game currency sales will be suspended. Then the whole game will be taken offline on 29th September.

Save data does transfer between devices, so you would theoretically be able to pick up your progress on another platform if you chose to.

We actually reviewed this one a little while back, praising its colourful characters and artwork but criticising its unrewarding gameplay and scruffy presentation.

“DanMachi Battle Chronicle is a little scruffy and low-budget, but the team-building options are fun, and it does a decent enough job of retelling the plot of the anime and manga it’s inspired by,” we said in our 6/10 report.

“Those looking for a slick, character action experience will find themselves underwhelmed here, but as a deeply replayable time waster, it serves its purpose as something that can occupy your attention for a few minutes every day.”
