Announced for consoles nearly three years ago, American Arcadia finally has a release date on PS5 and PS4.
Published by Raw Fury and developed by Out of the Blue Games, this intriguing adventure brings its Truman Show-like concept to consoles on 15th May, 2025.
American Arcadia is all about a utopian city that, unbeknown to its citizens, is being broadcast 24/7 as a reality TV show. The least popular "characters" in the show are put to death, and one person within Arcadia, Trevor Hills, is trying to escape. Fortunately, he has help from the inside.

The game has a dual-protagonist approach; sometimes you'll be playing a 2.5D platformer as you guide Trevor through the city and avoid any threats, and other times you'll play as Angela, a stage technician on the show, in first-person exploration/puzzle segments.
Released on PC back in 2023, the game picked up strong reviews from critics, praising its stylised visuals, varied gameplay, and engrossing story.
We're looking forward to checking this one out next month, then, but what do you think of American Arcadia? Tell us in the comments section below.

I love The Truman Show, and I quite like 2.5 gameplay.
I noticed on Steam one of the tags in Horror. I just hope the game doesn't go into that aspect too much. It's my least favourite genre, so I don't know if this game would be for me?
Truman Show is one of my all time favourite films so I’m intrigued. Although while im not usually a graphics snob this looks like a game from 2 generations ago which is a bit disappointing.
