Random: Liverpool Footballer Virgil van Dijk Prefers PS Vita to Steam Deck, Switch 2 1

Liverpool footballer Virgil van Dijk may not be having a vintage season on the field – but he’s sure enjoying his time off it.

The Dutch defender has been snapped several times recently carrying a Neon Orange PS Vita console, which he’s been playing GTA Vice City Stories on.

The colour of the console obviously matches the kit of his national team the Netherlands, who are nicknamed Oranje.

It’s interesting to see such a high-profile athlete enjoying Sony’s increasingly vintage handheld hardware; we’d expect footballers to be sporting Steam Decks or at the very least Switch 2s these days.

Much like goalkeeper David James – who famously got hooked on PS1 during his ill-fated seven years with the scousers – we’re hoping VVD’s PS Vita addiction will lead to more poor performances, as LFC round out one of the worst title defences in Premier League history.
