As mentioned earlier in my piece about Rayman Legends Retold, the excellent Rayman Origins is also getting a remaster.
The re-release – which hasn’t been officially acknowledged by Ubisoft just yet – will be subtitled Enhanced Edition, and will repurpose the PS3 original with 4K, 60fps presentation and modern enhancements, including “new quality-of-life features”.
While the logo had already leaked earlier this week, the game’s page was briefly uploaded to the Xbox Store this evening, with a placeholder price point of $1,999. We’re going to go out on a limb and say that’s probably not how much this will cost.

Of course, it basically confirms this is a real product, and I imagine we’ll learn more about it alongside the aforementioned Rayman Legends remake.
Rayman Origins was a hugely important release, of course, as it debuted Ubisoft’s outstanding UbiArt engine, which would go on to be leveraged across a handful of really great games.
We awarded it a 9/10 on both the PS3 and PS Vita when it launched in 2012, and to be honest, this is one of those games that’s pretty timeless and should very much be just as enjoyable today.
I would happily revisit this game for the right price. But what about you?
