It was inevitable, really, but 007 First Light has made a very strong debut on the UK's physical games chart.
It's number one, dethroning LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. According to Chris Dring of The Game Business, it's the country's "second biggest launch of the year" with Resident Evil Requiem being first.
Obviously this is physical data only, but it's likely to line up with general sales trends. We already know the game reached 1.5 million copies sold within its first 24 hours, so it seems the James Bond adventure has really struck a chord.
The physical sales split between platforms is heavily skewed towards PS5 with 86 per cent — though that's not much of a surprise.
Elsewhere on the latest chart, the aforementioned LEGO Batman's down to second place, while Resi Requiem is on the up in third.
Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate re-enters the top 10 in fourth place, and Mortal Kombat X is back too, at number eight. Seems maybe people are enjoying the new movie.
Here's the latest top 10 in full (physical sales only).
UK Sales Charts: Week Ending 30th May 2026
- 007 First Light
- LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
- Resident Evil Requiem
- Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate
- Pokémon Pokopia
- Yoshi and the Mysterious Book
- Mario Kart World
- Mortal Kombat X
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
- Forza Horizon 6

First light is my 3rd favourite game of the year so far (behind RE9 and Saros) and happy to see it selling well! Also having two MKs on that list is wild!
Really hope we get a VR mode like Hitman got
@Oram77 I'm guessing the recent movie has got people going back to MK.
Saros missing in action on Carcosa.
Interesting that the most recent MK isn't one of games re-entering the top 10 but instead it's the previous two. It really didn't go down well.
@1970sGamer You really like to push the idea that Saros is such a big failure huh?
@1970sGamer It was never going to outsell any of the games on this list physically a month after release.
Id love to see actual numbers. Because all this 85% digital scare tactics. Id lay money it's at least 40% physical if not close to 50.
@Oram77
3, if you count Mario Kart!
@1970sGamer lol saros vs a big multimedia franchise like 007 what do you expect
@MamaSymphonia haha didn't think of that!
@AdamNovice Looking through their comment history, their entire purpose on this site is just to be contrarian and say something negative. It's very sad. Saros was fantastic and I've been having a great time with 007! 😊
Well deserved.
Both 007 and RE9 are excellent games, and it's great to see them both sell well.
At this moment in time (about half way through 007) I think RE9 being in 1st place, and 007 in 2nd is the right outcome though.
Mortal Kombat movie doing wonders for the games I see
@MamaSymphonia ...i had to really think about that, really confused me 🤣🤣🤣
@ElusiveBounty ...so you came to the conclusion that a 15 - 20 hr game is crap after playing it for under 2 hrs ?
@Crimson_Ridley It's what get for giving people the benefit of the doubt.
I'm really liking it. Probably the best Uncharted-like since Jedi Survivor. I have issues with the structure and pacing and gun shootouts but when the game is firing on all cylinders it is a blast!
So far, it's my runner-up after Saros but it's very close.
@ElusiveBounty I hate being that guy, but the first two hours are a bit of a slog as it is basically a giant tutorial. The game only truly begins when you reach the first Hitman-type sandbox.
@ElusiveBounty It's not Uncharted if you are able to play it properly.
