Assassin's Creed Shadows will receive "one last update", according to a teaser posted on the game's official social media channels.
This is despite Ubisoft claiming that support for the game had all but wrapped up roughly one year after its initial release.
The teaser for Update 1.1.11 doesn't give anything away; all we know for sure is that it's launching next week, on the 16th June.
Some fans of Assassin's Creed Shadows would argue that its post-launch support has been a bit lacklustre β especially when compared to the crazy number of meaningful patches that Assassin's Creed Valhalla got.
But that was ultimately a different time; Valhalla owed much of its commercial success to the pandemic, and back then, Ubisoft wasn't going through a complete company overhaul.
In any case, it'll be interesting to see what the Shadows team has been cooking. I'll be keeping an eye out for any patch notes or additional teasers.

Bumping the version from v1.1.10 all the way to v1.1.11 and creating an announcement video could only mean they actually listened to their fanbase in order to deliver the long awaited power saving mode.
I'm pretty much done with it now. Put nearly 200 hours into and have got the Platinum. Really good if flawed entry with a stunning open world. I shell keep installed though because i like going back to older AC games now and then for a bit of virtual tourism.
I never finished this game and want to go back to it at some point, especially now I have a Pro. But with so many games coming out this year I donβt know if Iβll have the time!
@DennisReynolds I'm very much done with this game too after 230 hours. Got all the achievements on Steam and just have no more enthusiasm for this game. I was originally pretty excited for it since it was finally AC in Japan and I was getting it at launch to avoid my problem going into Valhalla in 2022 after the final update where when I first got to England and I got like 10 new quests pop up instantly and just felt overwhelmed with the whole thing but we barely got anything fo rthis one!
There were the Dead By Daylight and Attack on Titan crossovers then the Critical Role thing and the only expansion which ended up just finishing the main storyline rather than telling something new. Also completely skipping out on having a mythology focused expansion like the previous 3 RPG games did.
Hopefully Hexe isn't quite as draining.
Still need to play the expansion but my backlog is massive the moment I end 1 game more 3,4 games that I want end up releasing π f...
