Atwell is perhaps best known as Peggy Carter in the Marvel movies, but is also seen in Mission Impossible and plenty of others.
She joins a cast filled with other British talent, including Richard Ayoade (Dave the Giant), Natasia Demetriou (Jenny), Susan Wokoma (Arden the Cobbler), and more.
There's more information about the cast over on Xbox Wire.

Is it just me or did this look completely different to the last trailer they showed? Still really looking forward to it
The one Xbox game I'm glad is coming to Playstation. I think this looks really promising.
@Frmknst So you didn't like Fable by it being Fable?
This looks rather generic to me but if you guys say it's really good I will play it.
@Oram77 looked darker and focused more on the story, still looked good though
@Nei you need somebody else to tell if to play a game or not?
Still looking forward to this
@Toot1st I was digging it, just a bit of a tonal whip lash that's all
@Toot1st sometimes guys that have similar taste to mine will recommend a game that wouldn’t immediately pick my interest and I would happily give it a try because maybe I am missing out on something I might like.
Looks amazing can't wait to get back into a current fable game!
I don't like this often used art style of dark exteriors that has heavy fog, volumetric whatever it is blur, low draw distance, and dark interiors. The game looks interesting but I pass on games that look like this.
Looks better and better with every trailer.
It’s an instant day one for me as I’ve loved Fable since the firs game.
So glad the new one is coming to PS as I don’t really game on Xbox anymore.
Hoping that there’s a physical version of it either separate standard or premium as I don’t really plan on going for the collectors edition of it as much as I love Jack of Blades
@AdamNovice They seem to have a hate boner for whatever "fantasy mumbo jumbo" is
This looks more and more brilliant - very excited to see more about it, wish it was out earlier in the month though. Februarys already the single worst month of the year.
Never played a Fable game before but I'm definitely willing to give this one a shot!
@Ravix Natasia Demetriou being in this is a definite plus point
@Nei wat is with there being an up vote button but no downvote, how fake and forced, I hate websites like this
Everyone avoiding Q4 2026
@urbical seems you hate a lot of things and want everyone to know
Looks like every other generic AAA fantasy game, judging by that trailer.
Why did they tone done the humor and whimsy? To me, that’s what makes Fable stand out in an extremely, EXTREMELY oversaturated market filled with fantasy titles that takes themselves very seriously.
@Attheendwearrive He seems to especially hate dictionaries.
@Attheendwearrive like I said how tf is there an up vote button but no downvote , forced and fake
@BonezKnowz I know right, I was hoping they'd have Matt Berry, so having her in as well could be a little WWDITS reunion if he is
@MathiasBS Oh, the humour and whimsy will be in the game. This just felt like a more story focused trailer.
Fable always had fairly dark main stories, with the humour coming from the world more than the story being a straight up comedy. We've seen the humour and silliness in earlier showings
Im so sick of seeing real actors faces in games.
Let them di mocap or voices but for the love of odin, create some new original faces man.
This genuinely looks good. Nice
I bought xbox1 for fable and they never released a game for that console. Bought the Xbox x for when the new fable game finally comes out. Now that's its on ps5. I'll probably sell my Xbox x and never buy anything Xbox again. Fable is the only reason I ever messed with Xbox. No more
@MathiasBS this was a trailer from the antagonist's point of view. She hates whimsy, and hijinks and dicking around marrying your chickens or whatever it is Fable protagonists do. And that's why she hates you, the player.
@urbical I'm trying the little thumbs down icon next to reply but so far nothing. I was hoping it was like the movie gladiator where when I gave you the thumbs down (at least 5 times) that some brute would drag you out kicking and screaming but no..you're still here.
Oh that's who that was. It was bugging me that I recognised her but couldn't place it.
@Oram77 It is weird how they've toned down the Aloy lookalike characters so they look like real women rather than hobbits.
@Oram77 definitely not just you, I thought the exact same thing!
I really can't wait for this.
I've always read goid things about Fable but never played one. I'm overall liking the trailer though it does seem a but drab and grown, very much like the Witcher 3. Also kinda looks like it's supposed to be 1st person but they pulled tye camera back about 3' to make it 3rd person but all you can see on the screen is your characters back b/c it needs to both be pulled back about another 10' and raised about 15-20'.
But I might still play it as a "What If Agent Carter Was the Villain of a Vox Machina Adventure" kinda thing.
