"gen ATLAS is a single-player, open-world action-adventure game. Without knowing why, you awaken on an abandoned planet. Before you lies a vast, silent world. Colossal structures stretch over endless plains, deserted facilities, and an ever-changing sea. The remnants of some grand design litter the planet’s surface."

The #1 most wanted game for the last decade, finally! Beyond breathtaking
@Frmknst You must have been loving those framerates 😉
Definitely getting this. Come to think of it, I still need to finish TLG. I stopped many years ago because the framerate made me feel ill. Should be better on PS5 though.
i could count the frame rate at points, which is concerning because I can’t count that high.
@Fartingale won’t be a steady 60 fps title for sure, unfortunately.
I've not even seen the trailer yet and I already know it's a Day One purchase...
Very excited for this, as all players should be
This should have been announced on State of Play. Very exciting announcement
@Fartingale he makes wonderful games but his team can never optimise to save their lives. That's why The last guardian took so long because it couldn't run on PS3
This game got funded at the same time as Alan Wake II btw
I agree the performance can be rough with some of his games but they’re so ethereally special, they give a feeling you can’t get elsewhere. A next gen version might be the true home of this game, but hopefully the pro will run it ok.
It will release on PS7 then....
Looks great! Can't wait to finally play a new Ueda game.
This was the coolest thing at the show
Wow! That is one amazing trailer! SOLD
I am ready to embark on whatever journey Ueda will take us.
@Matroska 😬😬😬 I hope you have the disc version. Per Digital Foundry the unmatched Disc version can get 60fps but once the patches are installed performance is worst.
Nice to see BIONICLE brought back 😏
I don't have to watch the trailer to decide if I'll buy this game.
Wow, looks stunning!
Still no release date? Dang. Ueda's already cooking this game for how long, 5-7 years?
I don't feel it with this game though. It's like something off compare to previous Fumito Ueda games.
And this is the first time for Ueda where he adds a gun for his game. I guess he's changing his principal of not giving players the power to dominate.
I‘m surprised about the comments here. I‘ve watched the trailer several times, and while it includes brief snippets of gameplay, I can‘t get a feeling of how this gameplay will turn out.
What I‘ve seen is not enough to get me excited.
one of the best trailers at the show. very intriguing and going by ueda's track record, will be yet another memorable experience.
if i had to guess the premise based on the footage... i think the player will excavate ancient robotic parts for the purpose of building a giant? from there, the player will battle other giants who pose as threats or block the path to whatever it is you are trying to achieve? perhaps the player needs to find a way off the planet or restore the world back to its original state?
@3Above I second this and highly recommend @Matroska play the unpatched disc version. Feels way better to play at 60fps. There are a few bugs you need to get around but totally worth it. And genATLAS will be the next Ueda masterpiece! 🥹
@Porco And knowing Ueda's games, there must be a companion character in the game that you form a bond with, which seems to be the floating robot head.
This one was on of the most unimpressive trailers but given their track record I have hope for this game.
Ueda’s games tell silent, meaningful and memorable stories in ways that other games can only dream off, in their over the top violence and gore infested presentation. The highlight and my most anticipated game from the show.
I wonder if we all watched the same trailer, I thought it was phenomenal. Ueada and his time make some of the most beautiful, ethereal and captivating games I've seen.
I really can't wait to experience another of their games, plus it'll keep my therapist in business for a bit longer as I work through all the emotions it drags up at the end.
Fumito Ueda is a master of tone, but I’’m not sure I want a shooter from him. I’m glad to know it’s coming so I can watch for reviews.
This looks INCREDIBLE. This is getting by bumped to the very top (#1 must buy now) of my list.
Anyone who is complaining about that trailer does not know ball
This was my favorite announcement from SGF. I love the look and the tone. I'm not too worried about the gun, even Wander had a bow & arrow. It just hardly did anything against Colossi (Phalanx excepted). I reckon the gun will function similarly.
Whatever this is, the art direction is incredible. Count me as very interested. I'm looking forward to further information on this game.
