When it was announced during February’s State of Play, dev Ember Lab attached a 2026 release window to sequel Kena: Scars of Kosmora, which is being published on PS5 and PC by Sony.
However, not-E3 week has concluded without even a whisper about the release, suggesting it may now be delayed into 2027.
While the studio hasn’t said anything either way, we know most publishers are trying to avoid GTA 6’s release date in November. And the six or so weeks between the end of August through early October are already absolutely stacked to bursting with new releases.

Ember Lab has been continuing to post on X (or Twitter) over the past few days, but most of the replies it's receiving pertain to the game’s release date.
“Is Kena: Scars of Kosmora still scheduled for release this year?” one fan pondered.
Another exclaimed: “You’re killing me! Give me a release date already.”
Ember Lab is keeping its cards close to its chest for now, but I’m fully expecting a delay to be announced in due course.
There’s just not enough oxygen left in the last half of the year to let this breathe, and with no updates during any of last week’s summer livestreams, I’m fully expecting it to be pushed into 2027 at this point.
