The rumours were 100% true: Final Fantasy 7 Revelation’s Tifa will be joining Street Fighter 6 as a playable character in Year 4.
The iconic bartender will be joined by two brand-new characters: Yasmine and Arjun.
Rounding out the roster this time will be Bosch, who fans may recall featuring heavily in the game’s World Tour mode. That’s a really intriguing addition, isn’t it?
I thought Year 4 would lean heavily into the upcoming Street Fighter movie with characters like Vega, for instance, so this is quite a surprising lineup. I like it, though.
Yasmine will release on 3rd August, and from there the roll out will look like this:
- Arjun
- Autumn 2026
- Tifa
- Early 2027
- Bosch
- Spring 2027
Pre-orders for the Character Pass and Ultimate Character Pass are scheduled to go live later tonight on the PS5 and PS4. Thoughts?

Picking three new characters is such a strange choice. Yasmine looks like a retooled Makoto like they did with AKI over Fang.
Hey look, it's Tifa and that perpetually unlucky Bosch from World Tour mode. I'm kinda shocked the leaks were so right and so wrong. Something is fishy. Could we be getting more than 4 characters this year?
I bought SF6 only because of SP mode I didn't touch the game since yr 1 but for tifa I'm installing the game again
Super excited to see Tifa in the RE Engine.
A very cool looking cast of upcoming challengers! Obviously excited for Tifa and cool to see Bosch is getting his chance to shine outside of World Tour.
No world tour support means I'm out for this year.
(WT support for Bosch might have been difficult though).
Dissapointed with this DLC. The weakest season compare to previous ones. What's next, Mario for guest character? sigh...
I'm okay with the 3 new characters. But Tifa slot would be much better given to Vega, Makoto, Sakura, Dudley, or any old SF cast that has been long resquested by SF fans.
@Nei yeah, like you said, the rumor is right and yet wrong. Kinda funny really. I think Capcom wanted to throw a curveball on this season. But the new characters could be interesting.
@Nei If it's more than 4 they would show it right now. My guess is they probably will pumped out more DLC outfits since that's one of the main complaint (i honestly don't give a damn about outfits).
Ultimate Pass it is. Can't wait for Tifa.
@PuppetMaster Tifa is going to be the biggest selling DLC character of the entire game. It makes a lot of sense to include her. The game already has a strong SF roster so having 2 guest characters isn't going to hurt it.
@DennisReynolds Not 2 but 3 guest characters: Terry, Mai, and Tifa. It doesn't makes sense to include her considering she's not even from a fighting game.
And SF 6 already popular, the best fighting game in current gen, and it still selling well. There's no need for adding another guest character especially in season 4 where it usually reserves for SF characters that has been long requested by the fans.
@PuppetMaster She's going to sell extremely well that's why they added her as she's insanely popular. Also Capcom loves doing collabs with Final Fantasy.
Was really hoping for Ibuki. Apart from Akuma, I'm not really a fan of any of the DLC characters.
I don't know why Tekken chose emo Noctis and brooding Clive as collab characters from FF when none of them are martial artists. They could've chosen Tifa, Snow, Prishe or any monk based charas instead of those two. Glad to see Tifa in SF though
Man, the outrage of the "Tifa for Tekken!" people are insane.😅 Anyway, looking forward to see how she will look in-game.
Yasmine look okay-ish but nothing really exciting, I try to hold in judgement though until I see her own trailer. Not sure I can do the same for Arjun, the second he appeared in the video I thought I was looking at shirtless Ryu with longer hair.😑
Don't care for Bosch at all, he bores me to tears. The only interesting thing with him is that he is, to my knowledge, the first playable fighter from a fictional country added in a main SF game (not counting guests like Tifa).
