If you ever needed more evidence of why Insomniac has become a bit of a Marvel factory of late, look no further than the best-selling PS5 games following last week’s State of Play.
We already reported on how Marvel’s Wolverine was topping the pre-order charts, but it’s beginning to trend on the PS Store’s overall best-selling list now, beating out readily available releases like LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and MLB The Show 26.
In the US, the upcoming action adventure ranks fourth when filtered by sales, behind only NBA 2K26, Fortnite, and 007 First Light. Obviously with the NBA Finals well underway, it makes sense for the 2K Sports title to top the charts. Fortnite just got a new season, meanwhile IOI’s James Bond game has sold over three million units to date.

This success isn’t just reserved for the US: in the UK, the comic book tie-in ranks sixth; it’s the same situation in Spain. The title’s a little lower in France and Germany, but still trending well considering it isn’t even out yet.
Considering the marketing onslaught is only just starting for Marvel’s Wolverine, this all bodes extremely well; as more gameplay and information is deployed closer to release, I’d expect it to shoot up the charts even higher.
Insomniac still needs to stick the landing here; I daresay there are still plenty of people waiting for reviews. But the early signs are strong, and it looks Logan is sharpening his claws ahead of a massive launch.
