There’s a bit of irony in here if you peer into both these forms of entertainment. I never played Pokemon, but I was big into Magic the Gathering since its inception until maybe 5-8 years ago. WotC has been all about churning out as much product as they can to bleed their fanbase dry for some time now, yet one can actually buy and own all these cards forever if one wishes and has the means (or lucky pulls). Wizards is on record as being a physical card purveyor first and foremost for the express reason people like to feel those cards in their hand when they play. Wizards dabbles in online digital play, but it’s a side hustle to the main event.

Videogaming has gone in the exact opposite direction. There has to be a happy medium here, where one can still have and own and control that physical disc if they so choose yet also have the convenience of digital software readily available.

I tried this one and didn't get far. I like store simulator games but you really have to understand the card mechanics going in and if you do, it'll be a lot of fun. That said it's great to see more legitimate copies of games make their way to the PS Store. I wish they'd create some kind of digital sticker or something that marked a game as 'inspired by', something to let people know they are buying a knock-off. It's more obvious on Steam, on the PSN you have to go by ratings and a lot of these Developers are inflating their ratings which makes it even easier to pass off the knock-offs.

I still dream one day they will rerelease Magic The Gathering on current consoles. I liked these in the past.
