EA has revealed that its Fight Night boxing franchise, which ran during the PS2 and PS3 days, is returning. A new social media account has been set up, and its first post teases:

"To everyone who stayed in our corner: Fight Night is coming back."

No other details have been shared other than the attached image, which features a pair of boxing gloves hanging above a ring. "The fight is never over," it proclaims.

The last Fight Night game was released 15 years ago for PS3, Fight Night Champion. Before that, there were four entries between the years 2004 and 2009. Since then, there have been other boxing games, like CREED: Rise to Glory and Undisputed, but nothing has hit quite like Fight Night did at its peak.

We're probably looking at a release date a few years out still, but now you can anticipate a few Fight Night entry.
