Publisher Clear River Games has announced a release date for its wonderfully retro side-scrolling brawler, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction.

The game with the long name finally makes its way onto both PS5 and PS4 come 4th February, 2027.

The news comes alongside a new trailer for the game, which you can watch here:

Dragon Pearl of Destruction is the latest game in what seems to be a renaissance of sorts for old school beat-'em-ups. Announced over a year ago, the game has a date at last following a delay or two.

You can play as He-Man, Teela, Man-At-Arms, and She-Ra in up to four-player co-op across the 13-stage campaign.

It's in development at Bitmap Bureau, the team that also brought us Terminator 2D: No Fate, so I reckon this could be a very fun time with a couple of pals.

We went hands-on with this a fair while ago, and we came away very excited to see more.
