@Michael2008ish Actually in the True ending post game, port Crystals are the only method of travel. Every single enemy that isn’t undead can drop a ferrystone. By the time I had gone to NG+ I had over 40 stones with 7 warp points.
You can take an Ox cart to travel between cities, ride a griffin to its nest. There are dungeons to avoid Headless Swordsmen at night.
I’d like that phantom oxcart quest to be able to actually do it after screwing it up. How about Hugo actually doing something in his cell besides grunting.
Love the invisible walls, if you don’t want us to climb, then don’t provide ways to climb.
Remembering where you picked up your first seeker token is a cruel joke to remember. After several fruitless searches I found lots of new ones, gave up and went to post game. Will have to try again in NG+.
@Brydontk Yeah I get it, played sorcerer and others. Sorcerer issue is getting stun locked (see stars), otherwise, yeah QC sucks stamina like nobody’s business. Some spells fail to work like the flare which sometimes just fades.
I have more issues with my pawns doing dumb things (walk off cliff, charge to battle irregardless of “wait”. NPCs are equally dumb, found they are likely to just crouch in danger or wander away. The first game was a little better with pawn commands.
1. Eat gold beetles. 2. Sorcerers have galvanize, a stamina recharge 3. No horses exist in this world, use port crystals 4. Yeah, they do that. Ogres like to act like monkeys on bridges, cyclops act like bridges… 5. Escort mission, stay near your client. 6. Some quests you just gotta figure out. The beggar wanders around (waiting quest), some bug out on missed steps, some are time sensitive.
Gave it a 9 for issues. Pawns walk off cliffs, don’t listen (not infected), talk too much. Some quests get bugged if you mess up a step (phantom oxcart), drakes behave like dragons.
Great game otherwise, exploring and killing to your hearts content.
Ran into the dragon at the Ancient Battleground, he was fighting 2 cyclops. Killed him with ballista. 2 shots, dead. No dragonplague, no loss of progress, no running away.
I actually haven’t seen a need for the micro transactions in DD2. Finding enough stones just exploring. Haven’t had a problem with slow frames in the city or anywhere else. Have seen a lot of floating people, invisible walls (why?), griffons caught in ruins. Best is tossing small monsters around, it’s like a fantasy take on hot potato.
5 hours. If you rush, and skip some car rides, you might be able to get out of the intro with 3 hours to spare. Still wish they included a way to skip it.
When this happened in the first game, the most you had to deal with was a fight against your pawn as well as the lesser dragons. This change is funny as hell, could be used to a benefit for an evil run, still hilarious for the chaos ensued.
Great stuff. Still trying to figure out why I got attacked by everyone as I left the castle after the magistrate. Running away helps, at least until I hit an ox cart on the road with more guards. Of course a lone ox in the wild brings the dreaded xxxx. ☹️
Would like to see difficulty customization for the other mini games as well. Older gamers can’t function as well with some of the games like the various racing games.
Dark Matter being only gotten from mini games is disappointing. The easy difficulty is too easy and normal is too hard. Collected jetsom for no purpose if you can’t play the other mini games.
What’s up with that bird in southern ocean? I miss fishing and more “random” encounters.
The original had a lot of love put into it, and the many flaws were often overshadowed by the adventure through the land. From canyons full of harpies, old ruins populated by monsters and even the lesser dragons and other gigantic foes. The game was sprawling in size and depth.
While the frame rate is a thing, and the cutscenes being off, it was never a big deal with the lip syncing being off. That said, the first was plagued by its share of bugs, but it was eventually optimized to being a fun game.
Choice was a big decision in the first with the line of being good or evil, not so easy to distinguish. The first game had a wonderful system of always putting forth the question of taking the dragons deal. Hopefully this trend continues. Looking forward to it.
I’d love to know what beef the Sony higher ups have against Bloodborne. Always seems to be the games they liked least that get canned for no apparent reason.
Really need a Gacha game with more R rated violence. Some actual mechanics that let you butcher and utilize monster parts instead of them fading into non existence.
After slipping on banana peels, hit by wind blades, popped by fireworks and even got smacked by a ball of something. After all that, I returned those little ***** to their tree. The thanks I get? Some lousy gems and spare magazines. Kupo!
Looks more like racing with one giant, rolling obstacle. Without it being more open, and prone to slices and hooks, it just looks generic. Reminds me of the clones of <insert any racing game>.
@Member_the_game Actually, the use of the word lame is of a close and personal nature. It is declared to be an opinion, a fact or a falsehood. In this case, I would warrant this an opinion.
Putting things in after the “I told you so” content is a waste of time and energy. So many possible paths and extras that should have been in the original game, and even justifying that it was a complete game falls flat when you give in to public outcry.
Pretty pathetic to release extra material that should have been part of the original. Too little too late.
Until Dawn and The Quarry were absolute gems. The other stories delved into hallucinations, prehistoric CHUDs or just crazy people. Stick with supernatural, known monsters. Try staying away from polarizing events like wars, schizophrenia and hallucinogenic gas that hadn’t dissipated in 50 years.

Re: Dragon's Dogma 2 Expansion? Some Players Are Convinced It's Coming
Going through for the 2nd time as I screwed up some quests, let people die, killed a certain racist innkeeper, stuff like that.
It does seem like it’s missing something, that old man from Harve knows something.

Still wondering why DD2 has ferrystones as you can buy them from merchants and find them everywhere. Have too many wakestones.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Dragon's Dogma 2?
Already had to do the roundabout to start a new game. Managed to get lost at night by a campfire.
Have also drowned, got stomped, slimed, tarred, set on fire, fallen, eaten, drooled on, stabbed, sliced, shot. Good times. 🤞
