What a disappointment of a year for me as a PlayStation fan.
I'm not really feeling it honestly. Open world games have the same tired formula for the most part lately, and I'm tired of it. Spiderman 2 could be different, but I cannot get hyped for the life of me. I don't when know if I'm picking it up launch day, but I'll definitely get it somewhere down the lime.
That D-pad looks HORRENDOUS! Even the alternate one looks really bad. The Edge Controller D-pad comes the closest to analogue buttons for movement. D-Pad doesn't really matter too much for any game other than a fighting game, and I'm a devout pad enthusiast. I have an Elite controller that I tried using for SF6 for PC. Not good at all. Immediately switched back to my Edge. I definitely prefer that controller to any premium pad I've used. It's pretty much immaculate.
@Kenshir0 Completely agree! Taking away the ability to fight is just taking away a response that a player would have when afraid. It's not immersive, and it's jarring. Like Alien Isolation, let me have the option even if it's a terrible idea. Nothing in a horror game feels me with more dread than knowing I have a weapon, and the means and mindset to fight back, but that it's futile to do so. That's what makes Mr. X so scary in RE2. Bad idea to fight him, instead you have to use your enviroment to get away from him, and eventually lose him, while also dealing with zombies that are in your way or even a Licker you might have missed. It adds onto the tension.
Run and hide horror takes that choice away, and instead what you're left with is :
Can I hide? No? OK I guess I run.
Can I run? No? OK I guess I hide.
Not that I'm completely against no combat in horror games either. I really enjoy Supermassive's games. Probably because those games are built on player choice though.
A pretty decent middle ground is Amnesia: The Bunker, but even then that game devolves into a series of check-boxes and routine that it becomes dull towards the end.
I'm actually looking forward to Quantum Error too. The gameplay from two days ago, looks so much better than the gameplay from a month ago. Gives me Doom 3 vibes actually!
@Arnna it'd be interesting to see how many people like these. I know people do, but I wonder if these kinds a game's aren't a fad, like a niche within a niche. With Capcom killing it with these Resident Evil Remakes, I would like to think that more and more people are accepting survival horror as a mainstream genre, and less people are interested in the whole "run and hide walking sim" subgenre.
I just don't understand the appeal! Imo, you play one of these games, you've played them all. Layers of Fear and Outlast? Literally the same game. Like Depeche Mode and Joy Division. Same band tbh
Got me excited when the article said survival horror, but then I read Outlast and Amnesia, and run and hide, so pass. Can't stand no combat horror games.
@thetraditional Maybe for Chocobo, because I think that's a word made specifically for Final Fantasy, but Ifrit is in fact meant to be EEF-REET.

@nessisonett It's sad, it sucks, but it is almost the only way to get your foot in the door if you want to work in the gaming industry. The company I work is a lot more generous than most for our contractors than most companies at least. They get benefits that many contractors in the gaming industry just don't get, and if they don't quit they get a lot more opportunities to join full time.
You know what you sign up for, at least I did in my case where it was explained to me, but it isn't secure work, at least in the States. That 6 month period where they won't hire you back REALLY sucks, and most people just go to work for a different company, and it forces you a little to just keep jumping companies and stay contract.
It seems like it works better in the UK, where staying contract is a viable option, but in the US the goal is always to be hired on full time. UK has better regulation for worker's rights than the US does, and probably ever will sadly. Our federal government favors larger corporations than individual freedoms, so if you want protections you don't really have a choice, but to join a corp. It's surreal.
@nessisonett In the US especially, contract work in the gaming industry is never as good as full time employment. You get basically no worker's rights, and are disposable.
I have worked contract in the gaming industry in the US. It kinda sucks, the pay compared to FTE isn't good, you get no benefits, no job security, no paid time off, only a handful of holidays, and you can be fired or laid off at a moments notice.
These jobs are meant to only be 12 - 18 month contracts, and then they you have to wait a few months to reapply to the same company once your contract ends. Sometimes, if they like you, you get to be hired on full time.
I really hope they were given notice at least. You NEVER get severance pay for these positions.
@tameshiyaku I can't speak for everyone, but my main gripes with Calisto Protocol were:
Lack of enemy variety.
Lack of weapon variety.
Bad to mediocre boss design.
An uninteresting and predictable story.
Half baked stealth mechanics that felt tacked on for just a couple segments.
Game was really short.
Combat, while meaty feeling, was undercooked, lacked variety, and was way too easy to cheese (you can dodge repeatedly from left to right and you're fine most encounters, even more so since the enemy AI change)
Even still, I liked the game. I thought it was good for the most part if not mediocre. 6 - 7 out of 10. But it's nowhere near as good as thr OG Dead Space, Dead Space 2, or even Dead Space 3, and for a game to not be as good as DS3? A supposed AAAA game like the marketing guff would have us believe?
That's a problem. I would think that people were expecting a next gen game on par with the game it was succeeding. It is not that, but that's my impression, and the impression what other people have been saying.
I wish I didn't claim Saints Row. That game is so so bad. Easy 3/10. Still buggy, still stupid, still clunky to play (down is crouch? No. No please), it ****es on everything Saints Row was and asks you to open wide and just drink it in.... Corporate sanitization complete with a...sigh...team building segment. Cringe.
Bad graphics. Bad gameplay. Bad writing. Bad controls. Bad bad game. Customization is pretty good, credit to where credit is due, but the game still looks really bad, so ehh.
@HeroYoshiko You're meant to be able to use Remote Play not just over WiFi, but over a 5G connection as well. And that never works, so yeah it kinda sucks that one of the touted features never works. It does work on PSPlay though which is weird because that isn't Sony's official app for Remote Play.
@Titntin I'm very sorry you inferred aggressiveness from my posts, but nowhere did I make any false equivalencies.
Be sure to enjoy your Portal, and have a great day!
Edit: It is stupid. It is ridiculous. Try to understand though, you are not ridiculous or stupid for pre-ordering it. It's a nice novelty.
And if you are taking offense to that, well I don't know what to tell you pal. You don't need my approval or anyone's for your purchases. I don't have any control over that.
@Titntin I wasn't attacking anything (except Sony Remote Play that really does suck), I was having a discussion with another user, until someone else got bent out of shape, again, while only just reading a part of my response.
If would just read my other posts before you'd see that. Go buy it, more power to you, and I even said it's a niche device, buddy.
So instead of asking me what my problem is, you can just as easily read what I've already wrote and find that there isn't any...
Instead of wasting your time telling me things, I already know, and have already acknowledged.
If you want a Portal just buy one. You don't need to justify the purchase to anyone. I've bought plenty of ridiculous things that I use for one specific thing that really wasn't worth it, and I will continue to do so like a wireless controller dongle for my PC, I could just use a cable...but I want to turn on my PC with a controller, and sometimes I don't want to use a cable. So why be insecure about it? It's stupid, but you want it, there's no problem there.
@nicugoalkeper Branding. People will buy Playstation products right now due to branding. The Portal is meant to serve an incredibly niche purpose, you can manufacture them really easily, doesn't need any expensive hardware, is comparable to manufacture as a Dualsense, and they can charge you more than double for that very specific niche. It's a very low risk product to test the waters, and get make some money.
Also, you don't need to speculate on being able to use the Portal outside WiFi. The specification doc is out there and published, and gone over by any outlet that reviews tech related things.
It will ONLY support WiFi. Meaning, you cannot use it outside of WiFi. Maybe, depending on how moody the PS Remote Play app is on that day, you could play your PS5 while elsewhere and connected to someone else's WiFi.
You would want to buy this device if you only have one TV, and just absolutely need to play Spiderman while it's being used for something else.
@naruball now you are either lying or just ignorant. Let's go through what the PS Portal does.
It does almost everything a Dualsense does. Haptics, adaptive triggers, and a fully featured controller. It isn't a tablet. It will only let's use Sony's official Remote Play app according to previews and demos of the device.
Let's go through what a Fire Tablet can do.
It can do PS Remote Play, and also use the superior PS Play that allows you to use your PS5 over 5G, it allows you to use X-Cloud, and other game streaming services, you can use it for YouTube, Netflix, it's an E Reader, you can surf the internet natively, you can do everything a tablet does.
It does more than a Portal. Just because it's not as comfortable is just one of the few things a Portal can do, but comfort is subjective. Now if you're saying that it does different things than a Portal, that's right. But I didn't say that. So quit being disingenuous for a second, and actually read and consider what I said. It's little more than a novelty for a premium price, it's so you can kinda sorta feel like you're still playing PS5 while you are on the john.
Ironic huh?
Maybe read the whole post where I mention haptics hey, instead getting all out of sorts. Just maybe going forward consider it.
You probably already have a phone, that can do what a Portal does and more, and if you don't have a phone why would you buy a Portal? There's way too much market overlap there, it's why Sony doesn't make a dedicated handheld, according to them.
And even if you didn't. Amazon sells their Fire tablets for 75 bucks. 8 inches. Does more than a Portal.
You don't need me to do this math. There you go! You're welcome!
Selling out pre-orders on a niche device means absolutely nothing. Especially for Japan. Pre-orders for the Vita did as well, and the Vita TV seemed to be doing well according to Sony for the first couple months.
We all know what happened there.
Aside from maybe wanting haptics on a handheld Sony device as a novelty, there is very little objective utility in buying this device. Spend your money however you want. More power to you.
Do not make it seem like the Portal is gonna set the world on fire, or doesn't already have its function fulfilled by other existing devices, better, and for less money.
@nicugoalkeper Not necessarily the same thing at all.
Laptops are portable, but not nearly as portable as a Steam Deck. You can't play laptops while laying down very comfortably, you have to plug in a controller (unless you wish to torture yourself by attempting to play with the track pad), most higher powered laptops get too hot to even touch them comfortably after a long time as well.
Desktop is just not portable at all. Enough said. Not in the same category.
Now with the Portal...it's just you giving Sony money for a worse version of what you probably already have, a phone. For sometimes even a 1/3 the price you could get a Backbone or a Razer Kaiju for your phone, and not only utilize Remote Play, but also X-Cloud, Nvidia's streaming service, Steam Link, as well as the many games on mobile that are compatible with those controllers. With the Portal? Just Sony's Remote Play that really only works on your WiFi.
It's an objectively bad purchase. It's just bad. These will be in the bargain bin in a year or two just like the Vita TV. I'll pick one up then, but only because I regret not getting a Vita TV at 20 bucks at Walmart when I could.
@thefourfoldroot1 There's a third party app called PSPlay I use that works BETTER than the official one. It costs 3 bucks, but I can even play PS5 on a 5G network.
I highly doubt you would be able to use that software on the Portal. Which makes this gadget incredibly bad value, even more so than it already is. Because PS Remote Play sucks unless you're in the room. That's "remote" in only the TV remote sense of the word!
I let my sub lapse. I'm no longer in the trap of mediocre crap games and paying to play online. Any first party single player games I'm interested in, I'll pick up, but even then I can just wait until they get to PC and grab a cheap copy off G2A, and get the best version. No more 30 FPS gaming, no more crap performance modes where they just spread Vaseline on my screen, I am finally in next gen. Feels good man.
I am grandfathered into OG Humble Bundle, and I have Gamepass. I've got enough games to play, and I am not paying for online anymore. That's all I used Plus for. I very rarely play any of the games they offer, the last one being Control from...that's gotta be a year or two ago. Horrible value in my personal experience with it in the last few years.
Not a fan of VR gaming. Will never be a fan of VR gaming. VR gaming to me, is like mobile gaming to a lot of other people. It's a novelty at best, and is too niche for me to spend the kind of money to have an enjoyable experience. Every time I try VR I just come out disappointed and disoriented. Not for me, but I think having VR games with a non VR mode is going to be crucial for devs going forward.
There are waaaaay more people that either don't like or don't care about VR than people who do. You want money from those people too you know?
They're FINALLLY fixing the distorted screen bug? If you picked the dialogue after the Clouds mission that was something along the lines of "****ed in the head worse than you" you could not get rid of the distortion until you did certain side quests, like the one for Brenden the vending machine. Horrible bug.
They still haven't fixed the bug that doesn't allow you to skip dialogue. That one SUCKS.
And there's a new bug on PC that mutes vehicle noises...has something to do with mods, so I have to track down a loose file to delete. That one is kind of on me, that's part of the risk you take when modding.
Glad they're getting these fixes out. Having a blast with Phantom Liberty (aside from playing File Explorer) besides!
I think it's a 9/10 for me honestly. It does so so much right, and not a lot wrong. My main gripe, being Specters, have been taken care of. The music especially is amazing, my fondest moments are just being in Hotel Krat, taking care of whatever I need to there, trying out new weapons I've put together, all while listening to great tracks like Feel and Facsination.
P-Organs and Legion Arms are fantastically implemented, and there is so much variety in builds, weapons, handles, bladed, that even on the toughest bosses I felt like I could experiment to find the right set up.
Amazing game, and I can't wait to see what more this studio does.
I finished it without this patch. There was only a couple bosses that really felt hard. Like Andreas, he is in an awkward spot as he's the first really "hard" boss, but you don't get any wish stones to buff your specter until the next boss after him.
I think the specter buff is REALLY needed. These guys are absolutely useless without wishstones and even then, they just suck. I know some Dark Souls summons are overpowered, but come on... Specters shouldn't be as bad as they were at launch.
@Northern_munkey I was one of those people, but I gave it another chance, and I love this game. Beat it a couple days ago, and slowly doing a NGplus run while playing Cyberpunk.
I'm surprised to say I enjoyed Lies of P more than AC6.
Playstation under Jim Ryan's administration is why I'm primarily a PC gamer now. I really hate to admit it, but this generation of Playstation is becoming a disappointment day by day. I really hope Playstation stops going down the path they're headed, but I get I don't speak for everyone. Feel like, like Nintendo, I'm growing away from Playstation.
@Texan_Survivor I mean Days Gone when it initially released was a very buggy mess, so Sony has released broken and unfinished games before, but they just don't do it often.
We don't see things as 30 still images (frames) in sequence. We just see things in motion, with no still images needing to be put together. The world around us is in perpetual motion, and nothing is ever still.
Frames per second, is a measure of video being output by a source, not a measure of perception. The human eye and FPS are not at all related.
Real life does not run below 30 FPS. LMAO Real life doesn't run at 60, 120, 200, or any FPS for that matter.
Solid 7. Good not great, but also disappointing, becuase it should have been better. Not really a cohesive package like SF6, and the fighting feels super clunky due to the fact that your buttons will always keep you in the same spot. Makes everything feel...dated.
Invasion is pretty boring. It's OK if you like Kollectibles, but there's no real point to the mode outside of that if it isn't fun.
Kombat League is, again, the WORST thing ever. I don't know why they brought this mode back. It's garbage.
Story was good. It was too short though, and some characters are kinda...squandered or are just nothing characters. Li Mei could have had a great arc, but the story moves so fast that there's almost no reconciliation for the characters... I like that Baraka and Reptile are compelling characters rather than just jobbers, but they are left by the wayside after a chapter. Could have been longer, it should have been longer, it would have been better had it been longer.
Netcode is decent. Ranges from ASS to decent at least. Wifi connections are the worst in this game. It makes Kombat League so much more frustrating to the point were I just said **** unwired my PS5 and went wireless. Lag city, but at least it's the lag I'm used to... Can't stress enough how much Kombat League sucks.
It's also pretty buggy. There's a massive bug where knockdowns are different depending kn whether or not you are on the P1 or P2 side. P2 gets knocked down longer, so P1 has the opportunity to do better combos, so it results in P1 having the advantage. That sucks so much.
Game felt rushed. Really rushed. I think I'm actually done with MK now. Best to leave this franchise in the past I think. Street Fighter and Tekken will just be the fighting games I enjoy.
See a lot of people obviously jealous of these actors wanting more from their "cushy" jobs, and if I were them as well as a bona-fide nasty man, I'd say that this is the perfect time to scab. Get your foot in the door, see if the grass is greener on the other side...
I work in the gaming industry, and uhh...yeah. Let's see if you would say that it isn't a real job after spending a month or so in here. It's incredibly competitive, and no matter how good you are there is always someone that wants the job you do. Life is a zero sum game, my jealous friends, and you can't win if you only envy the successful. You have to get up and do something about it.
And on the topic of unions, more power to anyone needing them, and I know a lot of people, maybe even most people do! In this day and age, I have never had any problem getting what I want in a job on my own without a union, but when I was a part of a union my hands were constantly tied as I had to keep the wants of my fellow union members in mind, and hope my union rep knew enough about my VERY specific case needs that they'd be able to deliver. In my experience, they never did despite me enlightening them. Absolutely useless and a waste of money paying union dues, but my situation is an extreme outlier and I do better advocating for myself than anyone else can. Not to mention I know a good lawyer...
Another Hoyoverse W. Gacha games aren't for everyone, but Hoyo does it better than any company has ever done. The reason they're a juggernaut isn't because they manipulate their player base with pay for power PvP or all of the content being designed for a banner character only (although some content is designed with those characters in mind, they can ge done just as well with other characters), it's because they put out quality games with constant updates, and make worlds you really want to spend your time in. Yeah it's a time sink, but it's time well spent! Even though I'm taking a break from Genshin (For Honkai Star Rail, actually) I know I'll find myself back in Teyvat soon enough...sooner if they ever add endgame content, but they won't for that game...
What an absolutely abysmal launch. I played the game on Gamepass and still feel robbed, I was able to play 4 matches before the servers crapped out again. Why Starbreeze decided to do always online is beyond me, what a boneheaded decision... These are the kinds of mistakes that can bankrupt a company, and this company seems like it's unable to learn from the last time it went bankrupt.
Paying 40 bucks for it and then wasting your time versus paying for Gamepass (which has a lot of great games on it by the way) and wasting your time sounds better in your opinion?
Definitely prefer to waste time rather than money, but that's just me! Lmao
This game doesn't even work! I tried to play on PC via gamepass, and I can't matchmake for anything. I guess it's back to Lies of P, Starfield, Cyberpunk, Resident Evil 4 for me.
I've sunk a lot of time into it, and am learning Li Mei now, climbing to Master from Champion in Kombat League (Hell). Wish there was better online play, but it's fine. I'm enjoying it a lot. Story was great! My favorite MK story I think.
Playing this so much is really messing me up in SF6 though. Really HATE holding R2 to block!
@naruball idk, I'm an Android person myself, but the specs don't lie on this new iPhone. It's even capable of raytracing on top of running contemporary console games.
That's nuts. I like to **** on Apple as much as the next guy, but the tech they're bringing in on a device priced at a 1200 dollars USD in a phone is pretty innovative and affordable on a lot of cell plans. I have an expensive phone as well (Samsung S23 Ultra, and it will cost the SAME AMOUNT as what I am paying for this phone and is waaaaaay better), but I only pay 40 bucks a month for it with a plan through Verizon, after trading my old phone.
I don't think it's gonna topple PS5, but it's a cool device that's taking gaming seriously, and that's good for the industry to see more competition.

I've been pronouncing it right the whole time. But Cat Sit? No no no no... No. Unacceptable.
Re: The Last of Us Multiplayer Game Is 'Basically on Ice' Right Now
@Kidfried I just don't like Bungie. lol
I think I'm being as fair to Bungie, as Bungie is to the gamers in the Destiny 2 community.
I mean the addicts in the Destiny 2 community.
Re: The Last of Us Multiplayer Game Is 'Basically on Ice' Right Now
Somewhere...there's a timeline where Sony never buys Bungie, and Factions 2 is released.

Re: Reminder: Last Chance to Claim Your PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for September
Re: Reminder: Last Chance to Claim Your PS Plus Essential PS5, PS4 Games for September
Re: Street Fighter 6's Spooky Party Fighting Pass Kicks Off on PS5, PS4
The only thing spooky about October is the Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations that have been everywhere since September.
If Capcom really wanted to make this Battle Pass scary they'd take notes from Walmart.
Re: Where to Pre-Order PlayStation Portal
@HeroYoshiko Handheld gaming device? The Portal only does Remote Play... Like any smart phone, tablet, PC, or smart TV.
Wow lmao
Re: Where to Pre-Order PlayStation Portal
@HeroYoshiko You're meant to be able to use Remote Play not just over WiFi, but over a 5G connection as well. And that never works, so yeah it kinda sucks that one of the touted features never works. It does work on PSPlay though which is weird because that isn't Sony's official app for Remote Play.
Re: Where to Pre-Order PlayStation Portal
@Titntin I'm very sorry you inferred aggressiveness from my posts, but nowhere did I make any false equivalencies.
Be sure to enjoy your Portal, and have a great day!
Edit: It is stupid. It is ridiculous. Try to understand though, you are not ridiculous or stupid for pre-ordering it. It's a nice novelty.
And if you are taking offense to that, well I don't know what to tell you pal. You don't need my approval or anyone's for your purchases. I don't have any control over that.
Have a good one!
Re: Where to Pre-Order PlayStation Portal
Re: Where to Pre-Order PlayStation Portal
Re: Where to Pre-Order PlayStation Portal
Re: Where to Pre-Order PlayStation Portal
@nicugoalkeper What do you mean by me proving my point? You're also trying to do that... What a weird confusing thing to say, I'm not sure about that.
Also:
You can get a Backbone controller or a Razer Kaiju for around or under 100 dollars:
https://playbackbone.com/products/backbone-one-android/?tw_source=google&tw_adid=625272431689&tw_campaign=12807187327&gad=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwjt-oBhDKARIsABVRB0zRwNjGqG3XX6CMRLVF8pu9Pz6jfY0Ur5Dc20ueBl8qHixdzC3U46waAu7LEALw_wcB
You can absolutely find used ones for less.
Because then you would be lying.
Re: Where to Pre-Order PlayStation Portal
Re: Where to Pre-Order PlayStation Portal
@thefourfoldroot1 There's a third party app called PSPlay I use that works BETTER than the official one. It costs 3 bucks, but I can even play PS5 on a 5G network.
I highly doubt you would be able to use that software on the Portal. Which makes this gadget incredibly bad value, even more so than it already is. Because PS Remote Play sucks unless you're in the room. That's "remote" in only the TV remote sense of the word!
Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Essential Games for October 2023?
Re: Honkai: Star Rail's PS5 Launch Update Brings Big Waifu Energy
My PS5 is about to be an HSR machine! Let's goooo!
Re: PSVR2 Now Optional for Rogue-Lite Shooter The Foglands, Launches Halloween
Not a fan of VR gaming. Will never be a fan of VR gaming. VR gaming to me, is like mobile gaming to a lot of other people. It's a novelty at best, and is too niche for me to spend the kind of money to have an enjoyable experience. Every time I try VR I just come out disappointed and disoriented. Not for me, but I think having VR games with a non VR mode is going to be crucial for devs going forward.
There are waaaaay more people that either don't like or don't care about VR than people who do. You want money from those people too you know?
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.01 Announced, Should Fix Game-Breaking Save Corruption Bug on PS5
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Lies of P?
Re: Lies of P's Latest PS5, PS4 Update Makes Life Easier, That's No Lie
I finished it without this patch. There was only a couple bosses that really felt hard. Like Andreas, he is in an awkward spot as he's the first really "hard" boss, but you don't get any wish stones to buff your specter until the next boss after him.
I think the specter buff is REALLY needed. These guys are absolutely useless without wishstones and even then, they just suck. I know some Dark Souls summons are overpowered, but come on... Specters shouldn't be as bad as they were at launch.
Re: Lies of P's Latest PS5, PS4 Update Makes Life Easier, That's No Lie
@Northern_munkey I was one of those people, but I gave it another chance, and I love this game. Beat it a couple days ago, and slowly doing a NGplus run while playing Cyberpunk.
I'm surprised to say I enjoyed Lies of P more than AC6.
Re: Jim Ryan Retires as PlayStation Boss in March 2024
Playstation under Jim Ryan's administration is why I'm primarily a PC gamer now. I really hate to admit it, but this generation of Playstation is becoming a disappointment day by day. I really hope Playstation stops going down the path they're headed, but I get I don't speak for everyone. Feel like, like Nintendo, I'm growing away from Playstation.
Re: PAYDAY 3's Launch Has Been So Rough That an Offline Mode Is Being Considered
@Texan_Survivor I mean Days Gone when it initially released was a very buggy mess, so Sony has released broken and unfinished games before, but they just don't do it often.
Re: Alan Wake 2 Has a Performance Mode on PS5, But It's Been Built as a '30FPS Experience'
@Ravix That's not how eyes work buddy.
LMAO
Real life doesn't run at 60, 120, 200, or any FPS for that matter.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Mortal Kombat 1?
Re: A Video Game Actors Strike Could Happen Following Union Vote for Action
Kind of a Devil's advocate post:
Re: Preview: Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail Dev Has Quietly Become a PS5, PS4 Powerhouse
Re: Rumour: PS Plus Essential Games for October Leaked
Glad I let my sub lapse. Just isn't a good value for me, and it wasn't even at 60 dollars a year. Now it's just insulting.
Re: Don't Worry About Microsoft Buying Capcom Anytime Soon
This is a new golden age of Capcom; they are absolutely killing it!
Re: Unity Apologises, Partially Walks Back Contentious Monetization Scheme
I've only really played 3 games that used Unity, and they didn't feel clunky and weird. All of them made by Mihoyo.
Re: PAYDAY 3's Chaotic Launch Experience Prompts CEO Apology
What an absolutely abysmal launch. I played the game on Gamepass and still feel robbed, I was able to play 4 matches before the servers crapped out again. Why Starbreeze decided to do always online is beyond me, what a boneheaded decision... These are the kinds of mistakes that can bankrupt a company, and this company seems like it's unable to learn from the last time it went bankrupt.
Absolutely and utterly unacceptable.
Re: Review: PAYDAY 3 (PS5) - An Outdated Co-Op Heisting Experience
@GymratAmarillo Really?
Paying 40 bucks for it and then wasting your time versus paying for Gamepass (which has a lot of great games on it by the way) and wasting your time sounds better in your opinion?
Definitely prefer to waste time rather than money, but that's just me! Lmao
Re: Review: PAYDAY 3 (PS5) - An Outdated Co-Op Heisting Experience
This game doesn't even work! I tried to play on PC via gamepass, and I can't matchmake for anything. I guess it's back to Lies of P, Starfield, Cyberpunk, Resident Evil 4 for me.
Oh no. The horrors of actually good video games.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0?
Playing on PC! It's absolutely stunning with Path Tracing, and still manages to run great on my 4070TI.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Mortal Kombat 1?
I've sunk a lot of time into it, and am learning Li Mei now, climbing to Master from Champion in Kombat League (Hell). Wish there was better online play, but it's fine. I'm enjoying it a lot. Story was great! My favorite MK story I think.
Playing this so much is really messing me up in SF6 though. Really HATE holding R2 to block!
Re: Apple Insinuates iPhone 15 Pro Will Be a Better Games Console Than PS5, PS4
