Re: Reaction: Destiny Has a Clear Plan, and It's to No Longer Waste Your Time

SwitchVogel

Destiny is one of those games that I really want to like, but just can't. The gunplay itself is fantastic and I absolutely love the visual design that supports the whole thing, but the structure itself really destroys the experience. Even though it sounds like progression is being tweaked, my problem with it is that there's no reward for progression to begin with. I don't want to level up just for the sake of it, I want to be given a reason to level up.

Re: Just How Good Is DriveClub's Lighting on PS4?

I picked up the PS+ edition and was thoroughly blown away. After reading nothing but negativity about this game after that absymal launch, I expected a barely functional racer that would disappoint in nearly every respect. It couldn't be further from that expectation; I typically despise "realistic" racing games, but this one's got me hooked.

Re: PS4 Firmware Update 2.50 Will Let You Use Circle to Confirm

@get2sammyb Interestingly enough, the Playstation was originally a Nintendo project called the Play Station. It was going to be a way for the SNES to remain relevant when CDs were becoming the norm, but Nintendo backed out at the last minute. Sony took the half developed prototype, removed the SNES parts, and marketed it as its own console. The idea of the circle being a confirm button is probably a holdover from the old days!

Re: How Did That Metal Gear Rising 2 PS4 Rumour Start?

SwitchVogel

Still complete BS. Who celebrates the two year anniversary of anything? So they gave a "piece of artwork" to Sony without telling them that it had no significance, which then happened to find its way onto an upcoming games video with the PS4 logo attached? At the very least, there's a re-release coming.

Re: Feature: What Are December 2014's Free PlayStation Plus Games?

SwitchVogel

I'm amazed at how quiet this comment section is, this is the best lineup we've had in months. The first big title for the PS4's collection and another big one for the ps3. While I didn't mind seeing the indies before, Sony was showing a worrying trend of caring less about the quality of the games it was putting up.

Re: Sony Reckons That No One Will Be Able to Beat Bloodborne's TGS Demo

This sounds great, but at the same time, I hope that they make the game fair. It sounds like they're going with a nearly unrealistic level of difficulty. A good rule of thumb I remember the director of Castlevania told to his team when they made games was that the boss could be as hard as you like, but you have to be able to beat it without getting hit or it's not going in the game...
