Re: Streaming Superstar Kai Cenat Campaigns for Bloodborne on PS5, PC

Sony should be publicly flogged at this point for abandoning the IP. There, I said it. I say we storm their headquarters, find whoever is complacent in this tragedy, strip them naked and gently flog them peacefully in front of CNN.

In this day and age, I must declare this is sarcasm! Please, no one should trespass or hurt anyone!

Anyway, so after we finish storming their headquarters...

@Deshalu "Microsoft in the video game market is not $2.2 trillion. Remember we’re talking about the Gaming market, you’re trying to include stuff that has nothing to do with video games."

This is a silly argument. You would have a point if MS wasn't using money from its other divisions to spend 58% of its competitor's entire market cap to acquire one of the largest publishers in gaming.

Re: Soapbox: I No Longer Think Subscriptions Like PS Plus, Xbox Game Pass Are the Future of Gaming

bugzbunny109

Funny you say this... I've recently decided to cancel my PS extra subscription. It has games I want to play; but I don't have the bandwidth to play even 10% of them. I much prefer to buy the games I want and play them at my own pace. In the year I've had the subscription, I've only played one game (Returnal). I could have just spent $70 outright and saved myself money!

Re: Take-Two Boss Believes New PS Plus Is the Right Approach to Subscriptions

All these people pressuring Sony to do day-and-date first party releases ("because they're a billion dollar company") clearly aren't properly evaluating the quality of Sony's products. Sony's competition is currently offering first party games day one for dirt cheap on gamepass, yet PS5 is still outselling xbox. There's a reason people are picking $70 games over "the best value in gaming". The market speaks for itself. Sony not recognizing their value would be tremendously stupid.

Re: Juggernaut Publisher EA Planning to Sell or Merge

The irony is that Comcast can get away with their ***** practices because the ISP industry has practically been consolidated. Somehow gamers fail to see that major corporations consolidating other major corporations ultimately gives consumers less options (even if they get short term benefits). Given the way the gaming industry is heading, I'm expecting to see gaming resembling the current TV streaming cesspool perpetuated by bloated companies.

"So it's in said companies best interests to treat it's customers well otherwise the customer may just decide to shop elsewhere instead."

You know what else is in their interests? Getting their consumers to pay a fair price of their products representative of the value they bring. If you don't feel like Sony is "treating you well" (I'm not sure what that really means since Sony isn't your friend, or spouse), then go find another company that will.

"Companies do indeed owe us nothing."
I agree, but that's not the prevailing view in the gaming community anymore. Now, being a consumer makes someone special in need of free games, and access to financial loopholes in services.

@get2sammyb
Disgrace? Let me get this straight, so some people tried to take advantage of a service to gain potentially hundreds of dollars worth of service, yet Sony blocking this is disgraceful? I'm not sure what happened to the gaming community, but it's turned into a cesspool of self-entitled people expecting companies to be "pro-consumer". No one owes you people anything. No one has to be pro-you. If you like a product or service, then support it. Otherwise don't. You guys spend so much time whining; it's as almost you forget that people commit their lives working on all these products you consume.
