Re: Report Finds Lack of Star Wars Outlaws Sales Disturbing

@Cloud39472 I never find these jaded fanboys talking about any other original media like indie or foreign films. They just latch on to the most commercial entertainment and complain about it, but don't appear to support anything lesser known either. It's just very cringe worthy how many find more enjoyment in online bashing and hate watching rather than actually engaging in the medium and find the good. Lives to short to be so bitter and find so little enjoyment.

Re: Report Finds Lack of Star Wars Outlaws Sales Disturbing

Star wars fatigue yada yada yada. Edgelords like saying it to appear cool, but we had some pretty good star wars media along with some duds. Mando is for the most part very engaging, parts of boba Fett, Andor was awesome. Elements of acolyte were interesting but sloppy, however the anti-woke crowd wrote it off immediately. The Jedi games were amazing. Haven't played outlaws yet, but I will once it's patched up and cheaper.

What I'm trying to say is, Star Wars has always been a sloppy space fantasy made for kids. "Grown ups" judging it by proper sci-fi standards are barking up the wrong tree and making themselves look silly in the process with the amount of tenacity and hate they throw around.

Re: Sony Fights Scalpers in Japan By Demanding PS5, PS4 Playtime

tameshiyaku

@bindiana true, that would actually signal that Sony is actually celebrating with those that have been along for the ride the longest in an actual provable way. Celebrate and reward those who helped them to their success (and also making a boatload of extra cash and unruffle some feathers from the ps5pro price announcement of course)

Re: Sony Fights Scalpers in Japan By Demanding PS5, PS4 Playtime

@Number09 Actually I meant it mostly humourous, but also that a 1000$ special edition set just wasn't created with someone's first PlayStation in mind, not to gatekeep people from playing.
No need to get hostile unless you have a little Tommy in the family that really wants that specifically. If so then I apologise.

Re: Dragon of Dojima Roars in Official Like a Dragon: Yakuza Trailer

tameshiyaku

I guess the show is more for the crowd that's not just there for yakuza's meme value (I know that's rich when having an Ono Michio gif), but rather the actual gritty yet heartfelt crime drama and I'm definitely onboard. It's that dynamic between Shintama, Nishiki and Kiryu that really gripped me when I first got kiwami 1 from a bargain bin, and the series has had me hooked ever since.

Re: Prospective PS6 Purchasers Would Consider a Portable Model

tameshiyaku

A handheld is most definitely the way to go. Paired with a egpu dock for home cinema use it would be a great setup.
As for the vita's misfortune, it came out in this strange time where everyone thought playing on mobile phones can cover that, but I think with the switch and now pc handhelds even more casuals should have finally figured out that handheld gaming and mobile gaming are two different worlds.

Re: PS5 Firmware Update Annoys with Unwanted Deluge of Ads, News Feed

tameshiyaku

@NEStalgia fair enough, just checked and it's not completely out. Still, every sale is a vote to be screwed in the future.

I'm fine for early adopters of new technologies that bring innovation, even if it doesn't always pan out, but the ps5plus definitely isn't that. If it would just take the original ps5 price point while that gets reduced, as they did with the ps4pro/ps4, fair game.

Re: Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Looks Sublime on PS5

tameshiyaku

I'm a longtime mgs fan and am looking forward to this, but in all reality, let's take the nostalgia goggles off for a second.
In a modern gaming context, despite how much I love it, the vo is just pure cheese and would have massively benefited from a rerecording with the original voice actors. I'm sure even Kojima wouldn't direct the vo that way if he'd release it today.
That and the lack of modernizations besides the visuals and gameplay improvements is very disappointing for me as a fan. And the sad thing is that it all comes as a reaction to a very toxic purist attitude amongst gamers who try to dictate to Devs what they should be doing.
Kojima even stated in his departure from Konami that if he'd remake the series he would revise story elements. Kojima was also ready to pass the torch.
I'm sick of gamers trying to prove their fine taste of fandom by glorifying everything past while hindering innovations.
Also putting Kojima on this god like pedestal is such a dumb form of fandom.

Re: PS5, PS4 Fans Think Something May Be Afoot with Sony's Siren Series

tameshiyaku

I would absolutely love if they'd do something new with the series, though instead of a sequel they could just make an overall game series of experimental slow burn j-horror games under the mantle of Siren. Sony could make them with moderate budgets and perhaps get acclaimed game and film directors to helm these one shots. The indie scene is booming with stuff like that.

Re: In the UK, PS5 Pro Has Already Completely Sold Out

tameshiyaku

Fake scarcity. You vote with your wallet. If it does genuinely sell well then don't be surprised if Sony goes all digital and charge more for the ps6. As I said before, if Sony is giving up on hardware generations, then ps6 games are required to run on a ps5 pro unless the game is really that technically advanced that it wouldn't run. Basically like iPhones.

Re: God of War Ragnarok PC Review Bombed Over PSN Requirement

tameshiyaku

If I don't sign up to my local supermarkets savers club they can't collect my data directly, but for that I don't get bananas with a 40% discount, and that's okay, because I can still shop there!
PSN accounts should enable perks like trophies and cross saves, but shouldn't be a gatekeeper to who gets to play.

Just sucks that another first party studio has to suffer due to Sony's poor decision making and the whims of the internet mob that always needs something to be outraged over in a disproportionate manner.

Re: Rumour: PS6 Could Span a Console and Handheld Device

tameshiyaku

For me it has to be a single device meaning a handheld paired with a GPU powered dock (not just a hdmi connector) for more home performance. I won't invest in a home console and a handheld as separate devices since that would just be a plain stupid idea.

The time is ripe for this tech with ai upscaling and framegen assisting low energy consumption mobile chips!

If Sony comes with another boring home bound console that plays the games of two gems ago with slightly better graphics I'm throwing the towel on them.
