It looks less impressive and outdated now than it did a few years ago, but I hope it'll release with solid gameplay.

Still believe that an anime series could of handled the blend of serious drama and off the rails silliness better, but I'm still very excited to see how this turns out.

I hope the Like a Dragon and God of War series will also follow suit and surpass Fallout.

@nessisonett shogun definitely deserves accolades that will come it's way. The entire cast was stellar and Tadanobu Asano also had a great comedic performance (except the entire Brit soup thingy)

@CJD87 @DennisReynolds The boys is a genius show and a contemporary Watchmen imo. I'm baffled with people going offboard for it now being "too political"... the show has always been political! It's funny and troublesome that there are some viewers that are just figuring out that homelander is not the good guy in the story. What does that say!?
To a lesser extent but similarly, I didn't get why people felt so blindsided by Daenerys's development in GoT. the writing was on the wall, homelander however should have been clear day 1.

As I mentioned before, I would love for them to adapt another classic manga/anime like they did with fist of the north star, f.e. lone wolf and cub, berserk or cowboy bebop.
Otherwise I'd also enjoy if they'd make an original sci-fi or cyberpunk title that'd launch a new series.

As with all these design choices, just do it, and if possible have some class, and don't flaunt about with it to get a bunch of mouth breathing gamer types to go all crazy.

Rather have them do something like they did with fist of the north star. I'd die for RGG to have a go at Lone Wolf and Cub with Kiryu as Ogami Itto and Haruto as Daigoro. With an adapted version of ishin's gameplay I could imagine it being really good.
I also really loved Binary Domain, so a cyberpunk/sci-fi like a dragon spin off would be amazing as well.

The matrix has deserved better than this and the last movie.

Not touching it unless they fix the constant phone calls. That really soured the experience for me.

The series is allowed to evolve, even to an arpg and final fantasy 7 remake/rebirth succeeded in that endeavour! 16 has failed miserably in the transition it being the most shallow and boring game I've played in years. And no, having important characters die doesn't automatically make it a more mature or profound experience with its lousy game of thrones fan fiction writing.

Who has the time to replay this anyways? I had my fun, got the platinum, did the dlc. It's so time consuming I doubt I will ever revisit it.

Gamescom never had big announcements but let people get hands on with some upcoming games. So Sony is just being MIA in both. What they are good at is complaining about rising game Dev costs and Dev time, while continuing on the same trajectory, just with less staff now.

Nah, nobody can beat cdpr DLC. Not even from soft. Their best so far was artorias of the abyss, Bloodborne dlc was alright and this sounds just as inaccessible as the others.

I hope they rework the injury system. Going through menus mid battle and applying all the individual first aid equipment was neither realistic nor fun. Also switching camo constantly while sneaking felt very gimmicky. Other than that the game is basically perfect imo.

Great game that had some remarkable graphical tricks up it's sleeve for that time.

Sounds like a coordinated effort, but I'm not complaining if that gets us a new Dino crisis. Now we also need an onimusha army as well (was that an option in the survey?).

@ShadowofSparta when that pachinko slot footage released everybody was raving how they wanted something like that and now we have this (which looks more closer to the original) and people interpret a "lack of kojima". Tell you what you need to do to get that kojima magic sauce: turn the hue of your screen nice and green and if they do mgs 1&2 remake then turquoise/blue... Kojimas back!

@SLRC98 well, there's a free open source developed PS2 emulator called aethersx2 (now being continued as nethersx2) that can emulate the PS2 on midrange android devices at minimum 720p resolution. On a more modern chip set you can most likely get 1440p to 4k depending on the game. We're talking mobile here and made by hobbyists.
So seeing Sony deliver such underwhelming emulation on a much more powerful device is quite disappointing.

Gameplay looks janky (or more like the original) in trailer footage: "that looks so janky and bad, is this just a reskin,..."

@naruball With everything being streamed online, having a good presentation isn't about money but rather knowing your audience, curate accordingly and have a bit of showmanship. The "Sony doesn't throw around money like Microsoft" argument doesn't fly with me. Especially when even indie showcases manage more interesting line ups than state of play.

All the "soulless" talk is so nonsensical. It's the same look and feel with higher poly count, hd textures and more realistic lighting. Even the colour grading is as the original. If you want to do the whole, kojima isn't involved so it ain't good thing at least be somewhat objective and point out something that's not just pure projection. One could also say the entire look of death stranding is also soulless because it doesn't look like kojima in the PS2 era. Also, the backwards crawl implies to me that the game is having gameplay and quality of life improvements.
Man, many sound like bunch of whiny edge-lord connoisseurs.

However, when are we finally getting the original msx games remade!? That always would have made the most sense to me.

At least the special edition still has some resell value, even if the code is used.

Looks weird enough for me, but I hoped for more (body) horror and less action.

Man, I'm enjoying this resurgence of old school horror. Signalis really blew my socks off. Alisa and crow county are also fantastic and the upcoming hollow body also looks great.

@LifeGirl my thoughts as well. I just hope that if Sony gets the FPS fronts covered with CoD and Halo we'll still eventually get a new Killzone. Always preferred the weightiness to that as the floaty camera in CoD.
