Topic: Profile issues PS4

My sons main Profile loads up as normal to the main page but he is unable to select any games, apps and even the settings. It works fine on a different profile on the same console as well as using different controller's. Its like the X has been disabled just on the one account. Any ideas anyone?

Does circle work? It's used as the selection button in some regions, plus I believe there's a setting to swap the functions of circle and cross.
