Talking about games with DLC on the disc sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole. Definitely going to be considering games with the DLC on the disc rather than a code.
Looking at that list, I'd highly recommend the versions of Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider which come feature-complete on disc. I know you said you were avoiding remasters from previous generations but if you also pick up Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (which, as a remaster, is also feature-complete) then you'd have the whole trilogy in one place, from start to finish. Unfortunately, I think they've only released the corresponding 'Definitive Survivor Trilogy' bundle digitally (and dirt-cheap, too) so separate physical purchases would be your objective's only option.
I'll also second the recommendations for that 'Definitive Experience' release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain which includes Ground Zeroes. It has an integrated online element which might get switched off someday, but the core game should remain playable.

@RogerRoger Thanks for the info! I'm actually waiting on a copy of Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 year celebration edition which I bought online (for £6!!) which according to doestitplay, includes all the DLC on disc! I feel like Rise is the most essential game in the reboot trilogy but will probably end up adding the others too at some point!
I was thinking of picking up ground zeroes and phantom pain to bulk out the collection but it works out as better deal to get the definitive experience and have it all on one disc!
@BookhouseBoy If you like Rise then don't sleep on Shadow. It's bigger and more intricate, and way more diverse, with tons of clever gameplay refinements. It's at least as good as its predecessor, although I'd argue that it's better, and therefore the most essential. Each to their own, though (and well done for scoring that copy of Rise at such a bargain price)!

@RogerRoger Oh, I've played Shadow and really enjoyed it. I just liked Rise more. I just felt that Shadow was more of the same which isn't necessarily a bad thing! The only thing that's stopping me for now is the relatively high price for the definitive edition.
First game in the collection finally arrived! Got this for the bargain price of £3.75 on eBay. It's a game I've played to death but I decided to part ways with it when it was added to the PS Plus collection. Glad to have it back in physical form!
And also had this turn up from Vinted also for bargain price of £6! I believe this has all the DLC on the disc as well which is always welcome for the collection.
