I guessed the wrong, but more well known games in that genre, for my first few guesses. Even though I knew the series by my forth guess, there are so many titles in that series I had no clue which it was.

Quoted for truth. I went back and tried a couple of the older ones, and there were a handful where I hadn't played the game, but I'd read about it or seen a trailer and I got it (or close enough) after two or three guesses. Anything I'd actually played for myself, though, I got right away; likewise, there were others I'd never even heard of before, which I obviously blanked on all the way through to defeat.
Or then there's a day like today, where I started guessing the right series from the get-go, but then my lack of specific knowledge meant that, six ballpark attempts later...

I thought at first that it was the PS4 exclusive with a certain redheaded (and talkative) protagonist. Once I saw the the third picture, I immediately knew the answer though.

Yeah, I'd never heard of it, either. The platform hint threw me, considering the visible HUD buttons.
I got yesterday's on the fourth image. Never played it for myself, but that diamond-shaped thing (hot on the heels of the platform hint) was a dead giveaway.
