I ordered a used slim model from the CEX website and I was happy to find that it was in mint condition. I'm always a bit hesitant when ordering from CEX, but new Vita's aren't cheap.

I'm surprised to see how modern the Vita feels. Obviously there are several apps that don't work anymore, but what does work feels like it could of been released today and no one would have any issues with it.

I only have one game at the moment, which is Uncharted: Golden Abyss. I've always wanted to play it, but never had the means to. Seems decent so far, but I still have to adjust to gaming on the Vita. The lack of L2 and R2 buttons is taking some getting used to. I'm going to keep my Vita in my locker at work, so hopefully Uncharted will be the perfect game to whip out on my breaks. Once I'm done with that I'll see what other games pique my interest . I did see NightCry on the PlayStation Store.

I'm a big fan of Clock Tower on the PS1 and this is the spiritual successor to that, so it might be my next purchase. Other than that there are several Sony games that I'll definitely be getting at some point.

Congrats on your purchase!

There are some really cool games that you may want to try, like Sound Shapes. I used to play that game every time I was in bed and wanted to relax before falling asleep.

Hope you greatly enjoy your new handheld!

@naruball looked up some gameplay of Sound Shapes and it definitely seems like a good game to play while I'm on my shorter breaks at work, so I'll probably end up getting it at some point.

I'm liking what I've played of Uncharted: Golden Abyss. It really does feel like a PS3 Uncharted game in the palm of your hands. My one complaint is that it's insistent on trying to use all of the Vita's features. I could really do with less use of the touch screen. Luckily most of the touch screen commands have a corresponding button that you can use instead, but there are enough mandatory touch screen controls to make it slightly irritating.
