I understand the significance of FF7, but if a FF game is gonna be here it should probably be FF6. I find it tougher to distinguish the best souls-like though. DS1/DS3/Elden Ring could all be here on merit too and they're all so different.
However, for the best game ever; I think it's a toss-up between RE4, Half Life 2 & Halo 3 as far as feature complete games at their respective times goes. It so difficult to choose one single game.
Final Fantasy VII
Personally I loved Bloodborne more as I played it on release, while I didn't get to play FFVII up until years later. PS1 and N64 games don't hold up as good as SNES games today for example so that was expected, but the impact that FFVII still has today, so many years later is tremendously greater than that of Bloodborne, be honest.
Still, this is only considering these 2 candidates on a very biased PS available games poll. Pull up the whole gaming community and we all know that either a Zelda or a Mario would be fighting for the top spot.
Thank you for your efforts, @Kidfried ! I am curious to know how different the outcomes would be if the same polling approach was taken on Nintendo Life and Pure Xbox. I suspect the final eight would be completely different for each.

Throwing a quick comment to raise the thread. Someone just posted in the Quarter Final thread and it's on top. Confusing for anyone new.
Big shout to @kidfried .What a legend and what a competition. Also everyone getting involved, the old heads the new players. It's why we all love hanging out here.
Whichever game wins. I'm so proud KF has run it his own way, with amazing stats, rundowns and rules. I can't wait to see the very final top 100 games. But we all know, in our hearts, that there is only 1 true winner.
