The Game Awards 2022 has come and gone, and you know what that means! Yep, we're going to share the results of our predictions quiz, which was published earlier this week. In it, we asked the Push Square community to predict the events of Geoff Keighley's show, through 20 yes or no questions. Needless to say, the results make for a fairly interesting read...
Now then, let's see how you did!
Question 1: Will Geoff Keighley be wearing a suit alongside some impressive (and expensive) looking sneakers? (2,530 votes)
94% Yes
6% No
Correct!
Geoff did indeed wear some impressive looking kicks, which topped off a look that included a velvet suit!
Question 2: Will a sequel to Death Stranding be announced? (2,500 votes)
53% Yes
47% No
Correct!
Phew, that was close! Death Stranding 2 (working title, apparently) was announced during the show with a typically great trailer.
Question 3: Will a PlayStation Studios game be announced? (2,492 votes)
56% Yes
44% No
Correct (kind of)!
Okay look, we're going to give you this one because we're feeling generous. While we didn't get a new PlayStation Studios game, we did get an announcement for Horizon Forbidden West's expansion, and PC ports for Returnal and The Last of Us: Part I were confirmed. We think that's enough to warrant a point for the believers.
Question 4: Will Darth Vader appear in the Star Wars Jedi: Survior trailer? (2,444 votes)
54% Yes
46% No
Wrong!
The winning streak is over! Darth Vader was missing in action during the gameplay-based trailer, although we can certainly see him making an appearance in the game itself.
Question 5: Will Elden Ring DLC be announced? (2,446 votes)
54% Yes
46% No
Wrong!
Nope, Elden Ring got plenty of awards, but it didn't get any DLC announcements.
Question 6: Will Horizon Forbidden West win two or more awards? (2,431 votes)
38% Yes
62% No
Correct!
Your lack of faith has been rewarded. Horizon Forbidden West won bugger all, despite being nominated in several categories. Always the bridesmaid...
Question 7: Will a brand new Monster Hunter game be teased? (2,356 votes)
23% Yes
77% No
Correct!
Now, this was a tricky question since Capcom's only just confirmed that Monster Hunter Rise is coming to PlayStation platforms, but you never quite know what to expect from the Japanese publisher these days. Still, you stuck to your guns and got it right.
Question 8: Will Tekken 8 unveil a completely new character to the series? (2,313 votes)
66% Yes
34% No
Wrong!
Unlucky, really. There were no brand new characters in the Tekken 8 trailer, although Jun is returning after a long, long absence.
Question 9: Will Dragon Age: Dreadwolf get a confirmed release date? (2,276 votes)
24% Yes
76% No
Correct!
We thought there was a chance that we'd finally get an idea of when the next Dragon Age is coming out, but we didn't even get a vague launch window. Dreadwolf didn't appear at all during the event.
Question 10: Will someone cosplaying as Kratos appear at any point during the show? (2,290 votes)
59% Yes
41% No
Wrong!
Nope, cosplayers were in extremely short supply at The Game Awards 2022. Kratos was nowhere to be seen, sadly.
Question 11: Will Knack 3 be announced? (2,256 votes)
15% Yes
85% No
Correct!
Nice, you got our annual joke question correct! But one of these days, the prophecy will come true...
Question 12: Will Konami announce a new project? (2,252 votes)
51% Yes
49% No
Wrong!
Nah, sorry everyone, but we can't give you a point for that Dead Cells Castlevania DLC. That's not really a new Konami project. A shame.
Question 13: Will we see in-game footage from Assassin's Creed Mirage? (2,218 votes)
47% Yes
53% No
Correct!
You did well to get this one right, we think. Ubisoft had almost nothing to announce during the show, and the wait continues for actual Assassin's Creed Mirage gameplay.
Question 14: Will Josef Fares swear while presenting? (2,173 votes)
71% Yes
29% No
Wrong!
Josef presented the all-important Game of the Year award, and he kept it family friendly. No swears this time, much to our disappointment.
Question 15: Will Final Fantasy XVI get a June 2023 release date? (2,164 votes)
58% Yes
42% No
Correct!
Wow, we thought this question was a bit of a gamble, but you got it absolutely right. The anticipated action RPG really did get a June 2023 release date.
Question 16: Will we see anything of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth? (2,154 votes)
38% Yes
62% No
Correct!
Yeah, realistically, we weren't getting Final Fantasy XVI and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in one show, were we? The next remake will have to wait, for now.
Question 17: Will God of War Ragnarok win four or more awards? (2,232 votes)
76% Yes
24% No
Correct!
Yep, God of War Ragnarok swept an impressive six awards on the night.
Question 18: Will Dragon's Dogma 2 get a trailer? (2,125 votes)
24% Yes
76% No
Correct!
We all wanted it, but it wasn't meant to be. Dragon's Dogma 2 remains an enigma for the time being.
Question 19: Will PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan appear on stage at any point? (2,184 votes)
23% Yes
77% No
Correct!
Spot on! Jim Ryan was nowhere to be seen at The Game Awards 2022 β wasn't even in the audience, as far as we could tell. Probably too busy making sure all those PS5s get shipped for the holidays.
Question 20: Will Elden Ring win the Game of the Year award? (2,255 votes)
67% Yes
33% No
Correct!
It was inevitable, wasn't it? Elden Ring was destined to get that Game of the Year award after it all but stopped the Earth from spinning earlier in the year. A worthy winner, we're sure many will agree.
Final Score: 14/20
Wow, not bad, not bad at all. 14/20 is an admirable score, and you got some especially tricky predictions correct. Pats on the back for everyone, we think, and we'll hopefully see you again next year!

how about Al Pacino host the entire show next year? it would be a very long show... and iconic.
@CthulhuFhtagn
Not as long as if Chris Judge hosted π
@Icey664 haha! He set that up for ya!
You cock'a'roachπ
This was super fun! Thanks guys and see you next year!
Go us!
14/20 is probably the highest score Iβve got in any PushSquare quiz. Thanks for carrying me everyone who got the answers right.
Got 15/20 right.
Tbf Fares looked like he was going to a lot more than swear when the kid started talking at the end.
Question for next year: Will a weird dude saying some weird stuff appear onstage?
No Legend of Dragoon what a waste. π’
@KaijuKaiser there where a limited amount of tickets available for regular people.
that weird guy at the end of the show was one of those ticket buyers.
Christopher Judge's speech was still the craziest thing on the event. I was lmao, and afterwards that kid sneaking on stage. Poor Jeff, that had to be really bothering him
Nobody could've imagined Bill Clinton winning GOTY. He did not have sexual relations with that woman.
No one of us is as smart as all of us.
Or something like that.
Really enjoyed this. Mores the pity Sony didnt have a showcase this year so we could play again. Hopefully soon!
For next year: "Will someone barge onstage and say something totally bonkers?"
Nice I got 18/20 turns out being a party pooper and having zero expectations helps with these predictions.
@Pikki that's cool. I'll watch Mr Pacino doing nothing for 3h.
nice avatar π.
@tenthAvatar
bruh wtf are you talking about. That was best TGA in years. Really cool announcements. You can ignore awards if want.
In total honesty, I was expecting a Knack 3. I think they can make a hell of a game if they make it PS5 only and let the particle processor really shine. Knack 1 was ok, Knack 2 was polished and really fun so I wouldn't mind a 3rd installment in the series tbh.
