Personally speaking, one of my favourite pieces of content to come out of video game expos has always been a tour of the public showfloor. I love seeing all the extravagant booths that publishers have put together, what free merch you can get, and the neat activities there are to do on the side. So, since I'm at Gamescom in Germany for the first time, I wanted to put my own little tour together.
I've only ever been to the Eurogamer Expo (now just EGX) in the UK and Summer Game Fest in the past, so the scale of Gamescom is probably what knocked me back the most. Spread across 11 gigantic halls (seven open to the public and a further four dedicated to games media), some of the biggest gaming companies in the world made their upcoming titles playable. PlayStation and Nintendo are missing in action this year, leaving Xbox to comfortably have the biggest booth of the lot.
Below you'll find all the pictures I've taken of the public showfloor areas at Gamescom, split into either individual games or a full company. I hope you enjoy!
Crimson Desert
Assassin's Creed Shadows
Star Wars Outlaws
Little Nightmares III
Dragon Ball: Sparkling Zero
Civilization VII

EA Sports FC 25
Hoyoverse
Dune: Awakening
Path of Exile 2
LEGO
THQ Nordic

Krafton

Xbox

Cherie Booth. A smile like the Joker
Did anyone get to play SW outlaws or assassins creed at this show.
Some impressions would be nice if they did.
