14 more games are coming to PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium next week, and we must admit, the selection seems rather scattershot. Generally speaking, previous Extra updates have included clear patterns. For example, there have been months where we've been given all the Yakuza games, or all the Star Ocean games, or all the Vanillaware games. But for November 2023, there's no real rhyme or reason to the titles that are being offered.
There are still some good picks, though (at least, in our opinion). Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is an all-time classic (even though it's routinely on sale for pennies), Superliminal is a, er, super interesting puzzler, and Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition is dumb zombie-slaying fun. But yeah, it's a weird mix — especially when you're throwing the likes of Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS. Maxi Boost ON in there as well.
Meanwhile, Premium's... decent? Grandia is a beloved old RPG, Jet Moto is a cool shout, PaRappa the Rapper 2 is, well, more PaRappa, and Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is a must for platforming fans.
But enough about what we think, we want to know how you feel about November's PS Plus Extra and Premium offerings. So vote in our polls, and then give an honest opinion in the comments section below.

They're alright. I want to play several things in there - mostly Dragon's Dogma and that Daedalus visual novel.
Normally the games are pretty decent in the build up to Christmas....... I guess Sony didn't get the Memo this year
On a serious note though, although there's absolutely nothing there of interest to me personally I fully appreciate that it's all subjective.
Not everyone has the same tastes in video games and just because I don't like them doesn't mean everybody else won't
The people have spoken
I'm mostly happy, been having a blast with Teardown so far and Eiyuden Chronicle Rising has been on my wishlist for a while now. Superliminal also looks quite interesting.
I can understand why most people aren't happy though as there's not many AAA games included this month which is what the majority of gamers want the most.
I've already got Klonoa on disc ( for old time's sake ) but it's well worth a try whether you've played the original or not.
Nothing for me this month but i have plenty to be playing anyway so i'm glad there are no distractions..
Always nice to see how quickly I can lose at Nobunaga’s Ambition.
The most interesting games are on Premium this one actually. Grandia I always meant to get around to, Parappa is always fun, and Jet Moto a blast from the past (not exactly the Waveracer competition I was hoping for at the time of course). I’d need the to have trophy campaigns added though.
Teardownn is the highlight for me. Will try Superluminal at some point. As for premium another month without The Getaway. Id settle for Gangs of London at this point as psp games seem to be getting the attention lol
@LowDefAl Agreed, especially since people can just buy the classic games without Premium (which is what I'm doing) and I think Grandia and Jet Moto are really cool games to have come back so I would say it's a really good month on that side
Premium is pretty good this month, but Extra is complete trash besides maybe Teardown and Superliminal.
@LowDefAl Then everyone who doesn't own premium will just suggest that they're not looking forward to any games. That skews the results more.
Careful, there is so much edge in this, you might lose a finger!
Yay, crap selection is back!
You’re joking, right?
Given that we got Klonoa, I'd say I'm fairly happy.
My problem is that this still isn't justifying the price increase to me. The value hasn't gone up to match, a lot of these games tend to go on deep sale. I've also finally picked up an Xbox due to the black Friday sale so I'll probably downgrade to extra and pay for Gamepass. I'll have too many games to play lol
Klonoa again for me!
No another absolutely rubbish month and I will only be signing up for lowest tier next time and thats only for the online. Sony is going downhill very fast. No exclusives on the horizon and prices going up and up. Spiderman 2 was amazing but whats next? They are lucky that the competition is even worse but they do at least seem to be trying to get some games out.
I really wish I could be more positive on this site but I'm not gonna be positive for the sake of it when sony are taking advantage of us. We need to make our voices heard, let your subscriptions lapse and I'll guarantee we will see the quality of games on offer improve dramatically. Money is the only language big corporations hear so if people keep subscribing hoping the quality will improve they are sorely mistaken!
It really does feel like the quality went down at the same time the price went up.
I highly recommend Dragons Dogma.
Poll results speak for themselves,
I hoping sony saving the big guns for a end of the year blowout !
I don’t understand how anyone could be unhappy with premium — after months of us complaining (including me) they’re FINALLY giving us the classics we want. I hope it bodes well for the future of the service, even if it’s still not enough for me to resub next year at these new insane prices.
My daughter is excited to leave Minecraft behind and play Teardown. We'll see if she enjoys it. I think she will.
Not a good month in my opinion. Best game of the bunch Kolona is one I already own too so that's frustrating but it's how it goes suppose
Here's a thought: are the selection of games purposely crap this month to get more people spending money on the black Friday deals. Its worked on me. I've added 3 games to the backlog and still spent less then £70
I’m a triple A gamer. if that offends you I don’t really care. Crap month for me, still holding out for Ragna next month as a Christmas treat?? 🤞🤞🤞…
I know I’m peeing into the wind but still 🤞🤞🤞
I don't think it's bad in a vacuum. I didn't even realize they had a dragons dogma dark arisen version for PS4 so I'll be all over that. Loved the game on PS3. Klonoa and grandia are good. Still not good enough to justify price increase though. My subscription is up come December 18. May drop down. Depends on the black Friday deal though, I may do that
For me this is the worst month for Extra since it started last year's June and it's after 2 months of raising the price of PS Plus, not a good strategy
Gonna play Dragons Dogma DA because never played. Play dragons dogma just not DA. Still on baldurs gate 3 but dragons dogma will be little change of pace. Plus maybe get me more excited for dragons dogma 2.
I just don't get people here, teardown looks great and a day one release, and grandia is a fantastic classic and yet people still complain. Sony does many things wrong at the moment but a selection like this is definitely not the problem. Also, who has the time to play more than 2-3 of these games until the next batch comes in, unless you're just dabbling everywhere and wonder why you're unsatisfied.
My ‘Essential’ sub is stacked for another 3½ years. Really wish could get a free taste of Premium so that could test streaming quality for PS3 and older games (that or make available for download).
I’m pretty happy that I get to try a brand new game in Teardown. I like these a little bit out there AA titles. Give me Stray, Tchia, Humanity, Teardown, etc and I’m happy with it, whether I like the game or not. A free game that comes out day 1 that may or may not be a successful title impresses me the most with the service.
Also, the Premium titles are honestly much higher quality than we’ve gotten in the past few months and perfect for anyone that’s hoping for some of the more “fun” PS1 era titles. And if you want something a bit more “serious gamer” Grandia is a fine addition for those that want to experience a JRPG they may have missed from the golden era. Just my two cents, but this may be the best month we’ve gotten on Premium since the first drop. I’m hoping that Parappa 2 is successful, so we can see Um Jammy Lammy someday soon on the service.
Tekken 6 is probably the best new addition but it's also just an emulated version of the PSP game
No interest in Extra or Premium.
@UltimateOtaku91 same rising has been on my list for a bit, and I wanna play kolona as well
Maybe the worst month of Extra. And hey we got the worst month of Essential too! So there is a good pattern there at least.
@Maddie47 why not, it was also votable, if not using Extra or Premium.
Premium is finally getting the classics we actually want and deserve. This month is probably the best Premium drop we've gotten yet. And Extra just dropped two of best AA puzzle games money can buy and has been dropping a consistent number of titles over the course of 2023. I've played $1000+ worth of games this year alone, and this is a good month of Extra for me and my gaming habits. Very happy this month, and those who aren't just aren't getting games they personally like. Sorry to tell you, they can't tailor to everyone always.
Uh they think people need a lazy dead island port instead of knack 2?
If they made online gaming free, like on PC, i wouldn't bother with PS+ at all
Wait Klonoa 2? That's a PS2 game and it was never re-released, except in the Fantasy Reverie port, which is also releasing on Premium.
So... does that make Klonoa 2 the FIRST PS2 game they've added to the service since it launched?
@Maddie47 not sorry you’re so hurt about it bro. Yes I’m a typical middle class snob.. I buy Heinz not Asda’s own
People’s expectations are way too high and unrealistic, mainly due to the previous excellent offerings and now people expect that every month, PS Plus is exceptional value for money, it’s not even debatable
So Premium games can be fine but the only middle ground for Extra is "meh, okay"?
I'm quite happy about Klonoa, and interested in Teardown, Eiyuden, and Superliminal. Even at full retail of Premium, that's $14 for 4 games. $3.50 to rent a game for many months seems good to me. I always compare things to 90s prices and selection, so I guess I'm not in the right demographic to be upset about this.
Non of them truly float my boat but I've seen and heard really good things about teardown so ill be giving that ago. I'll have a look though.
I've been totally impressed by the selection of ps extra games and have found many gems, I didn't know I'd like.
But premium still just not worth my time or money. There is nothing premium about that tier.
I'm seeing a lot of hate for this month, but for me its ones of the better lineups. I'm having a lot of fun with teardown, and for the nostalgia ill play Klonoa(only ever played the PS1 demo) Jet Moto and maybe Grandia if they include trophy support.
Also Superliminal looks up my alley, so for me 8/10 month
Really glad to see Parappa get acknowledged at all, but I have both of the games. Add Um Jammer Lammy and you'll have my direct attention! Add the odd stuff they own they're not sure will sell if they remaster it. That's what they should be doing with this service more.
